• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administrator

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

• At least 6 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): University

• Age At least 28 years

• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in server infrastructure and DevOps management.

• Proven experience as a Server Administrator, System Administrator, or DevOps Engineer in enterprise environments.

• Hands-on experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V/ Proxmox), containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud integration.

• Excellent communication, documentation, and troubleshooting skills

• Ability to work collaboratively across teams

• Strong understanding of security best practices and automation

• Scripting proficiency (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, or Python)

• Server OS: Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS), Windows Server

• Tools: Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions

• Virtualization: VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox

• Monitoring: Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios

• Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL

• Cloud: AWS, Azure, GCP (basic to intermediate level)

• Scripting: Bash, PowerShell, Python

• DevOps practices: CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automation

Responsibilities:

Server Administration & Infrastructure

• Deploy, configure, and manage Linux/Windows servers, cPanel, WHM, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file servers, ERP, LMS.

• Maintain high availability and uptime across physical, virtual, and hybrid infrastructure.

DevOps & Automation

• Manage Docker/Kubernetes for scalable deployments.

• Build CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions.

• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.

• Knowledge about Microservices

Database Management

• Administer MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL.

• Optimize performance, backup strategies, and disaster recovery plans.

Cloud Integration

• Manage and optimize AWS, Azure, or GCP in hybrid environments.

• Support remote learning and academic applications.

Monitoring & Performance Tuning

• Use Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, or Nagios to monitor systems and tune server performance.

Security & Compliance

• Enforce security policies, access controls, and regular vulnerability assessments.

Backup & Recovery

• Develop robust backup and disaster recovery protocols for academic data and research.

Collaboration & Support

• Support academic, development, and research teams with server resources and technical consultation.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain detailed documentation of deployments, architectures, and configurations.

• Report on system performance, uptime, incidents, and DevOps metrics.

Research & Innovation

• Assist faculty and researchers in deploying and scaling digital research tools.

• Explore emerging technologies for academic IT innovation.
