Education:
MBBS degree from a recognized university (Postgraduate degree in Public Health preferred).
Minimum 10 years of medical practice, including at least 3 years in a leadership or administrative role.
Leadership & Strategic Direction: Provide visionary leadership to all medical and clinical operations of the DIU Medical Center, aligning healthcare services with the university’s strategic objectives and ensuring the delivery of high-quality medical care.
Clinical Supervision & Patient Care: Oversee diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care services; ensure that all patients—students, faculty, and staff—receive safe, ethical, and evidence-based medical attention.
Policy Development & Implementation: Formulate and update medical policies, health protocols, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain uniform standards of healthcare delivery across the university.
Medical Team Management: Supervise doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and support staff; organize work schedules, monitor performance, and promote teamwork and continuous professional development.
Emergency & Crisis Management: Lead the medical response during on-campus health emergencies, accidents, or outbreaks; ensure readiness of emergency medical equipment and staff response protocols.
Health Promotion & Preventive Programs: Design and implement preventive health programs, vaccination drives, and wellness campaigns to promote healthy lifestyles within the university community.
Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council (BMDC) standards, Ministry of Health regulations, and DIU’s internal quality policies; regularly audit clinical quality and patient safety.
Data Management & Reporting: Maintain accurate medical records and prepare periodic health statistics, incident reports, and recommendations for the university administration.
Coordination & Liaison: Serve as the key liaison between DIU Medical Center and external hospitals, diagnostic centers, and public health authorities; coordinate referrals and partnerships as needed.
Budgeting & Resource Optimization: Develop and manage the medical center’s budget, oversee procurement of medicines and equipment, and ensure efficient use of financial and human resources.
