Job Context:
∎ The position will support implementing partner in building their capacity on SEL and SAFE. Monitoring progress, identifying gap and providing handholding support in implementing program at Safe Healing and Learning Spaces (SHLS) in refugee camps and host communities. S/He will be responsible for providing technical support, supervision, and ongoing capacity building to partners/officers based in SHLS sites to ensure that SHLS and adolescent life skills ("SAFE") programming are implemented in line with IRC curricula, guidelines, and are adapted in consideration of the local context.
∎ Position objectives:
∎ To ensure children, adolescents, youth and caregivers are able to safely access quality and consistent SHLS activities, by providing guidance, monitoring, and technical support to implementing partners
∎ To oversee and ensure implementation of SHLS activities for children, adolescents, youth and caregivers by partners according to IRC guidelines, work plans, and project timelines
∎ To liaise with the CP Case Management team to ensure that children harmed or at risk of being harmed are identified and referred to appropriate services
∎ To liaise with other partners (other IRC sectors or service providers) to ensure activities in the SHLS meet the needs of targeted communities
∎ Job Location: IRC-Bangladesh, Ukhiya Office with Frequent Travel to Camps and Host community.
∎ Contract Length: 30 June, 2022 (with possibility of extension)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Technical Quality:
∎ Assist to quality operationalization of the IRC's youth development interventions in Bangladesh, ensuring that needs and priorities for programming and standards are in line with the context, needs, and gaps on the ground
∎ Through the close guidance of CP youth development Technical manager work closely with Protection teams including Women's Protection and Empowerment (WPE)band Protection & Rules of Law (PROL) team to ensure successful implementation of integrated programming in camp and host communities
∎ Conduct needs assessment, develop and implement a capacity building plan and provide day to day mentoring support, formal and on-job training support to partner staff
∎ Provide mentorship to implementing partners on Safe Healing and Learning Spaces (SHLS) and adolescent life skills ("SAFE"), Caring of Child and Adolescent Survivor, Learn to Earn curriculum, Learn to Lead curriculum activities in accordance with IRC guidelines, standards, tools, and procedures
∎ Ensure that quality and safety standards are met in each SHLS site through regular monitoring, field-based mentorship, technical support, and capacity building of implementing partners
∎ Provide capacity to partners on records of children/youth and facilitator's attendance are accurately recorded and reported.
∎ Ensure monitoring through partners on SHLS referral pathways; provide support to appropriately refer and document suspected child protection cases
∎ Support M&E activities as requested to support quality programming, including regular field monitoring visits and weekly and / or monthly reports as required.
∎ Work closely with young people, understand their needs, facilitate regular consultation with them and identify programming idea for youth development
∎ Work closely with partner in implementing skill development activities in host communities.
∎ Program Implementation:
∎ Work closely with CP technical manager to achieve project results and take support to implement field intervention through partner
∎ Regular monitoring of the program and providing necessary supervision support to the team. Monitoring findings are recorded and shared at different platform (within IRC and partner) for the improvement of program delivery
∎ Facilitate training, orientation, workshop with partner to deliver youth development curriculum to the and regular follow up and refreshers to ensure proper knowledge and skills in the implementation team
∎ Periodically review training modules and materials along with CP technical manager youth development, prepare context specific adaptation plan to implement youth programming in emergency situation.
∎ Ensure integration and inclusion in program delivery, children and young people from different age, sex and ability are equally addressed in program implementation.
∎ Ensure safeguarding policy is understood and followed in program delivery
∎ Staff Supervision & Development:
∎ Maintain open and professional relations with team members, promoting a strong team spirit and providing oversight and guidance to enable staff to successfully perform in their positions.
∎ Ensure timely completion and submission of monthly timesheets, probations reviews and annual performance reviews.
∎ Ensure support and ongoing capacity building opportunities for implementing partners on technical skills.
∎ Grant Planning & Implementation:
∎ Supports implementation and adherence to grant work plans, spending plans and monitoring and evaluation plans.
∎ Coordination & Representation:
∎ Actively develop and maintain effective working relationships with partners, SHLS and CFS actors, youth group in the field, including government actors, UN agencies, international and local NGOs, UNO, Upazila chairman & members, DSS, MoWCA and other relevant actors.
∎ Regularly attend relevant coordination meetings at field level
∎ Program Development:
∎ Contribute to the development of the CP program strategic direction for responding to children harmed and at risk of being harmed
∎ Coordinate with other IRC sectors staff (e.g. Women's Protection and Empowerment, Protection Rules of Law, Health, Nutrition, etc.) at field level
∎ Other Duties:
∎ Consistently and dedicatedly monitor/assess the safety and security of field teams; promptly reporting concerns or incidents to IRC management and liaising with community leaders and other external parties as required to maintain/enhance the security environment for IRC programs
∎ Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable and develop IRC programs

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 2 years' experience of implementing child protection programs, preferable social work, or education, in humanitarian or development settings.
∎ Previous experience on partnership, supervising and coordinating a team in a cross-cultural setting preferred.
∎ Demonstrated understanding of working with children and particularly vulnerable children.
∎ Previous experience in emergency preparedness and response preferred.
∎ Previous experience in capacity building and mentoring of staff preferred
∎ Relevant language skills in Bangla and Chittagong required. English desirable
∎ Personal qualities: Great teammate, flexible, network-builder, able to handle pressure well. Strong communications and analysis skills
∎ Commitment to IRC values, including child protection
∎ People who are familiar in local dialects and local language will get preference
