Additional Requirements:

The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):

  • IFC’s Performance Standards on Environmental & Social Sustainability, E&S/Labor audit from International lenders (e.g. IFC, World Bank, DEG etc.), Fire Safety Management, Health Safety and Environment.

  • HSE&S related certifications from accredited institutions (e.g. NEBOSH / IOSH and Fire Safety Manager Course of 6 months duration from BFSCD) will be an added advantage.



Responsibilities & Context:
  • Oversee implementation of Health, Safety, Environment & Social (HSE&S) requirements at the assigned site, ensuring alignment with MGI policies and lender’s Environmental & Social Performance Standards (IFC, World Bank Group).

  • Develop/modify a site-level HSE&S manual, procedures, guidelines, forms, and checklists in line with MGI’s EHS framework and assist plant management in its effective execution.

  • Prepare and maintain HSE&S reports, documentation, and evidence to fulfill lender compliance requirements, including ESAP implementation, in collaboration with site management.

  • Work closely with site leadership, providing technical guidance and monitoring compliance with lender-specific HSE&S requirements, local regulations, and internal policies.

  • Lead site-level HSE&S programs and initiatives to prevent incidents, including conducting regular site visits, toolbox meetings, inspections, and audits.

  • Ensure best practices in health, safety, environment and social performance are consistently followed, maintaining adherence to both national legislation and international lender standards.

  • Ensure accuracy and other ad hoc responsibilities related to HSE&S in day-to-day tasks that will have been assigned by the reporting manager/supervisor based on job scope.
