Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Developing Team plan of each component of the project and execute accordingly
∎ Supports and contributes to the implementation of child protection intervention including GBV (psychosocial support, case management, community watch group, women leadership group, CBCPC, community engagement activities and coordination)
∎ Supportive supervision, guidance and technical input to the staff to effectively perform the duties and achieve the objective of gender-based violence intervention which contribute a quality programme
∎ Conduct survey e.g. risk assessment of Safe Space for Women and Girls and Multi-Purpose Child and Adolescent Centre (MPC) and assist in infrastructure development for child protection facilities
∎ Conducting survey e.g. risk assessment of Multi-Purpose Child and Adolescent Centre (MPC) and assist in infrastructure development for child protection facilities
∎ Take approval from CiC on related Child Protection Issues and keep contact with site management
∎ Conducting different meeting, and training for capacity development of the staffs as well as arrange meeting with parents, CBCPC, community leaders(Imam, Majhi, influential person), adolescent leaders
∎ Supportive supervision of the child protection activities (MPC, case management, adolescent club) and provide technical guidance to the respective staffs to achieve the vision of the child protection
∎ Analyze the field situation (from field visit, individual discussion with parents, staffs) to take immediate action and to assist management to take necessary initiatives
∎ Preparing different reports, budget and other documents and send those to respective authority in time
∎ Keeping Liaison with different sector of HCMP, others departments of BRAC, national and International NGOs and GO specially CiC office
∎ Support internal and external program visits
∎ Keeping effective time management with administrative and financial activities.
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
∎ In order to successfully implement the child protection activities in the field of HCMP, the Senior Project Officer (Centre Manager) (Child Protection) is responsible for managing the all sort of centre based activities e.g. survey, CP facility establishment and supervision, designing team plan, supervising the field operation activities along with providing technical support through frequent field visit, strengthening the capacity of the field assistant, assistant technical/project officer maintaining the liaison with different sector of the Humanitarian Crisis Management Program and others Non-Government & Government organizations, and preparing different report and budget for local purchase and send it to respective authorities
