Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor/ Master degree in Nutrition/ Public Health is preferred or equivalent degree with adequate experiences is also encouraged.
∎ Skills Required: capacity building skills, Excellent communication skill in both Bengali and English, Excellent organizational and leadership skills, MS Office

Job Context:
∎ Contract Duration up to June 2020 (with possibility of extension).
∎ Start date - asap.
∎ Supervision of nutrition program (CMAM/IMAM) in the field implementing by partner (screening, detection and referral mechanism for acutely malnourished children and running of OTP/SFP sites in the community through close collaboration with the staff of partner. S/he would be responsible upazila level all / assigned nutrition and health related activities under Action Against Hunger.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure that the measurers are taking accurate measurements (weight, height, MUAC, checking oedema and W/H percentages).
∎ Extend support to ensure screening of U5 children at household level through the community nutrition volunteers / community workers.
∎ Monitor that all the children with the MUAC of <125 mm are referred from community to the center for nutritional treatments.
∎ Ensure the arrival and admission of SAM children in the OTP sites and MAM children in the SFP (if the service available).
∎ Ensure the community mobilization through the network of volunteers.
∎ Ensure the accurate record of information related to each beneficiary (Identities, anthropometric measurements, systematic treatment, etc).
∎ Ensure that the eligible children are admitted in the OTP sites / SFP according to the admission criteria.
∎ Supervision, monitoring and follow up of all the above interventions in the OTP sites / SFP in the Upazila and ensuring that they are running according to established protocols and standards.
∎ Ensure appropriate referral and follow up mechanism is in place for malnourished children and other nutrition interventions.
∎ Ensure the implementation and follow up of standard protocols in the OTP sites and SFP.
∎ Formal and on the job training of the ACF and partners staff working in the nutrition program (GMP, OTP / SFP, community nutrition workers, community nutrition volunteers).
∎ Collection and compilation of the daily, weekly and monthly statistic reports and submission to the DPM/ Program Manager (PM).
∎ Support the partner’s staff for collection and compilation of screening, OTP / SFP reports, stock reports (consumption, stock balance and request new supplies for food and non-food items for OTP and SFP sites.
∎ Work on the capacity building of partner’s staff on reporting and analysis.
∎ Ensure stock cards are correctly filled in and followed up (in, out, consumption and expiry dates of all the items).
∎ Ensure prepare and submit store requisition for OTP sites /SFP and submit to the nutrition supervisor.
∎ Ensure adequate supply and stock of food and non-food items in each OTP site and SFP.
∎ Ensure that hygiene, sanitation and adequate water supply are in place of the OTP sites / SFP.
∎ Ensure that the hand washing facilities are available and functioning well and used by the beneficiaries and the caregivers.
∎ Read and ensure a full understanding of ACFs Gender Minimum Standards & Child Protection Policies, asking questions and/or for support when necessary.
∎ Implement all work related activities with a gender, disability and child protection lens, taking into account the different needs, concerns and ideas of our staff and beneficiaries.
∎ Encourage the participation of all genders in meeting and on committees.
∎ Help build an inclusive office environment where people do not feel disadvantaged or judged according to their gender or limited due to manageable disability.
∎ Work in close collaboration and coordination with the partners and give timely feedback on the activities on going screening, OTP / SFP.
∎ Collaboration and coordination with implementing partner and other stockholders at field level.
∎ Active participation to the community mobilization and raise awareness among the local population.
∎ Close communication and coordination with the ACF medical nurse in the SC of the Upazila Health Complex, for the referral and follow up of SAM cases with medical complications from OTP sites to the UHC and the other way round.

Salary: Tk. 71000 (Monthly)

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Festival Bonus: 1-month Gross salary every year.
∎ Provident Fund: 7.5% of Basic Salary.
∎ Performance Bonus: from 30 % to 80% of monthly Gross salary per year depending on performance.
∎ End of Contract Benefits: As per organization policy.
∎ Medical coverage: 80% hospitalization coverage medical expenses (max limit BDT 120,000 per year).
