Candidate must have a Master's degree with honours at Bachelor's level, preferably in a relevant Social Science subject e.g. Anthropology, Climate Change, Development Studies, Economics, Environmental Science, Geography, Sociology, Statistics etc.;
Candidate with a third division or a GPA below 2 in SSC/HSC or a CGPA below 2.5 as applicable are not considered to meet the necessary requirement;
Candidates having experience in social science research, which may include time spent in a thesis on relevant topics will be given preference;
Experience in governance research in the field of solid waste management, environment, and climate change will be given preference;
The candidate must be good at reading, writing and presenting in English;
The candidate must possess computer skills in MS Office and Bangla typing skill using Bijoy Classic;
Candidates skilled in data management and analysis using GIS Software, NVivo, STATA, KOBO Toolbox, Excel will be given preference;
Should be able to deliver time-bound tasks.
Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) is inviting applications for appointment on contract basis for the position Research Assistant for its project titled “Promoting Integrity in Solid Waste Management towards Climate Justice in Bangladesh”
Job Description:
Assist in designing data collection tools and supervising field level data collection;
Assist in checking and cross-checking survey data;
Collect and analyse secondary data;
Assist data analysis and visualization using STATA and GIS Software;
Assist in arranging and conducting interviews;
Transcribe and translate the recorded interviews;
Assist in thematic analysis and coding of qualitative data using NVivo;
Assist in writing reports in English and translate into Bangla;
Assist in preparing and presenting research findings;
Study related administrative work, training arrangement, communication with stakeholders;
Any other tasks assigned by the management.
