Project Brief:
To enhance Early Childhood Development (ECD) and reduce Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in underserved and substandard urban settlements of Narayanganj and Gazipur Districts of Dhaka Division in Bangladesh, the project aims to create a safe and nurturing environment for children aged 3 to 6 through Resource Centre’s (RCs) that will provide daycare services, pre-primary education, and legal aid support for their families. Over the five-year project period, the consistent delivery of ECD services will support the long-term cognitive, emotional, and physical development of children, helping them build a stronger foundation for the future. Sustained legal aid services, community awareness campaigns, and proactive engagement with community members are expected to contribute to reducing GBV, creating a safer, more enabling environment for both the targeted children and the wider community.
Job Purpose:
The person will be responsible for ensuring high‑quality data collection, verification, and reporting to support effective project implementation.
Major Responsibilities:
Conduct regular field visit with approved workplan based on project's MEAL plan
Collect and compile project data from the field following the monitoring tools, procedures, and guidelines
Identify gaps & provide feedback to improve project implementations.
Share observations on irregularities and discrepancies immediately for project's concern and action
Support baseline, midline and endline surveys.
Participate in relevant monitoring/ project meeting, and share findings.
Support programme M&E team for conducting monitoring activities where assigned.
Safeguarding Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organization and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation, including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA), to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so.
