Project Brief:
To enhance Early Childhood Development (ECD) and reduce Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in underserved and substandard urban settlements of Narayanganj and Gazipur Districts of Dhaka Division in Bangladesh, the project aims to create a safe and nurturing environment for children aged 3 to 6 through Resource Centre’s (RCs) that will provide daycare services, pre-primary education, and legal aid support for their families. Over the five-year project period, the consistent delivery of ECD services will support the long-term cognitive, emotional, and physical development of children, helping them build a stronger foundation for the future. Sustained legal aid services, community awareness campaigns, and proactive engagement with community members are expected to contribute to reducing GBV, creating a safer, more enabling environment for both the targeted children and the wider community.
Job Purpose:
The person will be responsible for tracking program progress through collecting quantitative and qualitative data and assisting in assessing the change that happened following the project interventions. To prepare various trend analysis reports for board meetings and the requirements of donors, initial incident reports, and safeguarding reports, case learning reports for future development in the process.
Major Responsibilities:
Develop a result framework, M&E plan, action plan, and guidelines for the Project’s monitoring and evaluation.
Develop monitoring tools and formats, and collect periodical data from the field.
Generate M&E reports through real-time data gathering or digital data collection apps
Guide monitoring officers for developing M&E capacity.
Ensure timely provision of data for project reporting and regularly update the project log-frame/results framework (RF).
Conduct regular visits to the field areas to oversee progress of the project, identify bottlenecks, and conduct DQA.
Coordinate regularly with BEP’s M&E and MIS team and other programme units for gaining efficiency and effectiveness.
Safeguarding Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organization and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation, including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA), to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so.
