Job Context:
∎ The Centre for Disability in Development (CDD) is a not for profit organization established in 1996 to develop a more inclusive society for persons with disabilities. CDD simultaneously builds technical capacities of the development stakeholders and the communities in how to be more inclusive whilst also enabling persons with a disability to participate in society by strengthening their leadership and providing them with essential rehabilitation and other supports.
∎ CDD is one of the most renowned organizations in the field of disability-inclusive development. CDD`s work in Bangladesh is supported by international and national donor agencies/development partners. CDD offers an inclusive, amicable, and respectable work environment.
∎ The Ramon Magsaysay Award (Asian version of the Noble prize) has been awarded to its Executive Director in 2010. In 2018, CDD was recognized by the Government of Bangladesh as one of the best organizations working on disability and development issues.
∎ CDD is looking for suitable candidate for the position of Senior Project Officer for the project "Accessible and Equitable Heath Care and enhanced citizen engagement for 1500 marginal population, including Persons with Disabilities at Host Communities in Cox`s Bazar, Bangladesh impacted by the Rohingya Crisis and Cyclone Mocha" which is financed by the Malteser International.
∎ The duration of the project is till 31st December, 2023.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Contribute to planning, implementation, and monitoring of project interventions in coordination with the CDD team
∎ Ensure all project documentation and reports produced on time
∎ Conduct regular field visits where activities will be performed • Carryout regular field visits to ensure smooth implementation of project activities and prepare field visit reports. • Prepare briefing papers/project updates for periodic review
∎ Develop case stories and other learning documents in English
∎ Record and produce the minutes of management and programme meetings or other relevant meetings.
∎ Supervise day to day work of Inclusion Officer, Documentation Officer and Community Mobilizers and community interns in the project team.
∎ Work in close coordination with the senior physiotherapist
∎ Work closely with Project Finance and Accounts person to help prepare financial expenditure
∎ Assist project focal person regarding regular updates and progress of the project as per agreed project logframe and budget.
∎ Ensure safeguarding of children, women and vulnerable adults
∎ Ensure proper utilization of budget and prepare bill vouchers of all expenses
∎ Establish and maintain good relations with people of local administration, government and non-government organizations especially with DPOs & CCA practicing NGO
∎ Represent CDD when liaising with government authorities, local authorities, and other organizations in the project area
∎ Perform all other relevant assignments given by the organization.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 22 to 45 years
∎ Experience in development or humanitarian context
∎ Experience on all aspects of project management
∎ Demonstrated strong analytical, coordination, management and organizational skills, as well as good writing skills in English and Bangla for report writing.
∎ Knowledge / understanding of disability inclusion standards and guidelines
∎ Experience in inclusion of at-risk groups either in development or humanitarian context- persons with disabilities, women, children, and older people.
∎ Diplomacy skills and ability to understand and handle multiple perspectives.
∎ Skills in inclusive facilitation and communication.
∎ Ability to prioritize workload in fast paced environment and handle stress with limited supervision.
∎ Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, internet package)
∎ Ability to work with diverse people, communities, and cultures, with an understanding of cultural awareness practices;
∎ Pro-active and ready to take initiative
∎ Skills to analyze Team's needs and to take team building initiatives
∎ Photography & Videography skills will be appreciated
∎ Story writing skills

Salary: Tk. 80000 - 85000 (Monthly)
