As the public healthcare system strengthens, BRAC role has strategically evolved to be a technical assistance partner, supporting the Government of Bangladesh’s mission to achieve Universal Health Coverage, ensuring everyone receives the care they need.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate the overall implementation and field operations of the Char-based Healthcare Initiative and the Union-Level Health System Strengthening Project, ensuring timely execution of project activities.
Facilitate effective coordination and communication between programme management and field teams to support planning, implementation, problem-solving, and operational efficiency.
Monitor project performance against established targets, ensure compliance with programme standards, and oversee accurate documentation, reporting, and data quality.
Identify opportunities for programme improvement by generating innovative ideas and recommending evidence-based strategies to enhance service delivery and operational effectiveness.
Develop, review, and update project documents, standard operating procedures (SOPs), implementation guidelines, training materials, and other technical resources required for programme implementation.
Build and maintain effective partnerships with government authorities, development partners, private sector organizations, and other relevant stakeholders to support project implementation and sustainability.
Provide technical guidance and supportive supervision to field teams to ensure quality service delivery and adherence to programme protocols.
Support programme planning, monitoring, review meetings, and reporting by analyzing implementation progress, identifying challenges, and recommending corrective actions.
Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organization and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
