Job Responsibilities:
∎ Receive cash over the counter after properly counting it
∎ Pay against the received cheque by checking the information in instruments, such as verification of the signature, date, words, figure, and validity of the instrument
∎ Receive other bank cheques for clearing with deposit slip; verify information in instruments like the name of the payee on the instrument as well as on the deposit slip
∎ Stamp the crossing stamp in the cheque and deliver the instruments to the officer for clearing and processing
∎ Prepare teller proof sheet with denominating cash holding in the vault
∎ Prepare CTR report & STR report
∎ Whenever the situation demands give support as required by the Branch Manager/Branch Operations Manager
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 35 years
∎ Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in relevant field
∎ Should have a good knowledge of local banking laws, regulations, and the Negotiable Instrument Act
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills Should have basic Computer skills (MS. Word & MS. Excel)
∎ Should have initiative and drive to achieve set targets and service standards
∎ Should have the ability to manage and prioritize job and time
