Responsibilities & Context:
Job Context:
The Senior Merchandiser/Merchandiser for Woven Garments is responsible for managing buyer (ZARA/INDITEX) accounts, order execution, and ensuring smooth coordination between buyers and production teams for woven garments. The role requires strong product knowledge, sourcing capability, costing expertise, and timely delivery management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Buyer Handling & Communication
Maintain strong communication with buyers regarding product development, orders, and updates
Understand buyer requirements, specifications, and quality standards
Negotiate prices, delivery terms, and order quantities
2. Product Development
Develop new samples as per buyer requirements
Coordinate with design, sampling, and production teams
Source fabrics, trims, and accessories suitable for woven garments
3. Costing & Pricing
Prepare accurate costing sheets (fabric, trims, CM, washing, etc.)
Analyze consumption and optimize cost efficiency
Negotiate with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing
4. Order Management
Execute orders from confirmation to shipment
Prepare and follow up on Time & Action (T&A) plans
Monitor production status to ensure on-time delivery
5. Production Coordination
Work closely with production, QA, and planning teams
Ensure correct materials are available on time
Resolve production issues and delays
6. Quality Control
Ensure product quality meets buyer standards
Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections
Follow up on approvals (PP sample, size set, TOP, etc.)
7. Sourcing & Vendor Management
Develop and maintain supplier base for fabrics and trims
Evaluate vendor performance (price, quality, lead time)
Ensure compliance with company and buyer standards
8. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain all merchandising documents (PI, LC, invoices, packing list)
Update management with order status reports
Ensure compliance with export procedures
