Responsibilities & Context:

Manufacturing Excellence 

Productivity Enhancement in Manufacturing:

  • Manage improvement projects to improves manufacturing efficiency, cost, product quality, and worker safety by analyzing current methods, new methods, new technologies and cost reduction activities in selected areas.

  • Effectively create and support process enhancement initiatives to drive an environment of continuous quality improvement throughout the company.

 Plant Layout and process flow Improvement:

  • Develops, designs plans equipment and machine layouts, workflow, and safety precautions to maximize utilization of plant and manufacturing facilities and mitigate risks.

  • Develops metrics to measure plant and equipment capacity output, and identify equipment and process flow bottlenecks.

  • Responsible for overall CAPEX plan for the plant to mitigate against loss of capacity due to bottlenecks or other operating inefficiencies.

  Enhance Manpower Productivity:

  • Evaluates worker productivity and recommends improvements to increase manpower efficiency and operating performance, reduce waste and delays, and promote cost control/reductions.

  • Study and suggest the factories’ right matrix of headcount and machine and fully utilize existing machines and manpower of production teams.

  • Ensure balancing procedure for equal work distribution, accurate manpower allocation to reduce excess manpower and production improvement.

 Manage Automation Projects:

  • Research, select and implement various automated robotic system in the factory.

Manage Innovation & Continuous Improvement Culture & Standardization:

  • Establish & timely update manufacturing processes standard procedures (SOP)

  • Drive and embrace innovation in operations, develop and study new operation workflow and technology to exceed internal and external customers’ expectations.

  • Initiate necessary studies, researches & comparisons for appropriate proposal in terms of new machinery, equipment, methodology, system & technology

  • Lead cross-functional continuous improvement project teams achieving result and implant continuous improvement culture

  • Develop best practice sharing platform and encourage sharing and adoption across the organization

  • Align, standardize and roll out best practices as new standards

  • Train the trainers (TTT) to train

  • Establish the annual goals, operating plan and budget plan, result measurements, resources allocation, conduct progress review for the department and demonstrate good judgment to identify the right focusing areas and make mid-course corrections as required.

  • Set strategic and operation directions for the teams to achieve the agreed goals.

  • Oversee department workload and its executions and provide direction and guidance to all operational problems

  • Provide continuous and instant guidance and feedback to direct reports, conduct regular performance reviews and provide effective support and training for performance enhancement.

  • Develop and upgrade skillsets of current team to drive management satisfaction.

  • Develop stretch goals and objectives for the team to drive bottom line results and enhance the quality of team.

  • Build an effective team by talent identification and development.
