Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor’s degree in social science, environmental studies, engineering or other related field is required and a post-graduate degree is an advantage.
∎ Strong experience in partnering with suppliers and facilitating improvements at production units.
∎ Strong project management skill
∎ Management system related studies

Job Context:
∎ This role has supervising responsibilities for the American customers.
∎ The position will work closely with the compliance team in stakeholders Sourcing teams and will be based in Dhaka.
∎ The Senior Manager in Bangladesh has as an additional responsibility the monitoring of the RSC and Nirupan other Fire & Building Safety measures. With the support of the Assistant manager building and fire safety.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Support the Compliance director with the customers meeting.
∎ Regular meeting with the brands.
∎ Build Building & Fire Safety assistant manager position.
∎ Manage and develop the Development officers
∎ Oversee capacity building and training programs in the Bangladesh which may include onsite visit, researching and identifying appropriate external training partners.
∎ Manager is responsible for monitoring the auditors’ performance, the audit report review and the training/alignment of auditors.
∎ Work closely with sourcing team to leverage their support
∎ Supervise and support the Auditing & development team to develop training and best practice material and relevant internal documents
∎ Be directly responsible for CAP management of several suppliers/ factories.
∎ Always report any un-ethical behavior.
∎ Additional for Bangladesh need to take ownership for the Africa and MEA region.
∎ Work with 3rd party audit companies in the respected country to make sure they are updated with the audit process.
∎ Make sure customers audits are done on time without any delays and show a pro active approach.
∎ TEAM / SUPERVISION
∎ Building & Fire Safety assistant Manager position.
∎ Manage and develop officers
∎ Monitor auditors’ performance
∎ Perform regular shadow and validation audits
∎ Train new auditors
∎ Perform investigation audits and support with challenging audits when needed
∎ Work with 3rd party audit companies in the respected country to make sure they are updated with the audit process.
∎ Provide support to the Director internal stakeholders as requested

Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ 10+ years related experience in social and environmental responsibility
∎ Working experience with the leading brands and handling a regional responsibility.
∎ Working experience in developing the supplier /Factories on sustainable Management system .
∎ Share value in work ethics and integrity
∎ Very good knowledge of health & safety, environmental and labour regulations,
∎ Good knowledge and experience in the garment retail , manufacturing or apparel industry
∎ Is self-motivated and a hands-on operator
∎ Able to blend aspirational objectives in sustainability with pragmatic, commercial realities of business
∎ Manage complexity
∎ Demonstrate ability to liaise with a broad range of stakeholders
∎ Drive change in the corporate context with ambiguity and complexity
∎ Is culturally sensitive and aware
∎ Strong project management skills and implementation skills
∎ Ability to train the team on audit and factory development skill.
∎ Strong training & facilitation as well as communication skills
∎ Strong written and verbal English communication
