Responsibilities & Context:
After receiving the final spec from Garment Technologist, check the fabric shrinkage % based on blanket if shrinkage is incorporated to the pattern.
Prepare the pattern with appropriate shrinkage % (If have embellishment, position should be mentioned), if shrinkage is not required, develop zero shrinkage pattern.
Print out the pattern by plotter machine & check the physical pattern measurement (Carefully check embellishment position if have).
Handover the pattern to cutting with file (Development pattern).
Define engineered design/print, matching, stripe alignment, mirroring/parring and provide instruction to cutter together with Garment Technologist.
Go through the feedback provide by production/Technical for improvement.
Proper evaluation of customer comments and make pattern amendments requested by customer.
Prepare embellishment/print position, stripe layout template as per the requirement.
If need any clarification regarding spec, pattern maker will directly communicate with responsible Garment Technologist.
Ensure block update, general standard update by customer as a ruling change, is followed up.
Maintain all blocks pattern in library.
Do the bulk pattern correction based on production demand after clarifying from Garment Technologist.
