A Senior Executive IT in a hotel or resort oversees the daily technical operations, ensures hospitality management systems (PMS, POS) run smoothly, and supports hotel staff. This role demands strong expertise in infrastructure management, network security, and vendor management to provide uninterrupted services for guests and administration.
Job Summary
The Senior Executive IT is responsible for maintaining the seamless operation of all technology infrastructure, hardware, and software applications across the property. This role bridges the gap between hotel operations (Front Office, F&B, Finance) and technical solutions, ensuring high availability, network security, and compliance with data privacy regulations.
Key Responsibilities
· Hospitality Systems Support: Manage and troubleshoot core hospitality applications, including Property Management Systems (PMS), Point of Sale (POS) systems, keycard access systems, and channel managers.
· Network & Infrastructure Administration: Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi networks, firewalls, switches, and routers. Ensure high-speed, reliable internet connectivity for both back-office operations and guest use.
· Hardware & Software Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on servers, desktop computers, printers, and PBX/VoIP telephone systems. Manage software licenses and hardware replacements
· Data Security & Backup: Implement robust cybersecurity measures, including antivirus protection, firewall management, and regular automated data backups to protect sensitive guest and financial information.
· Vendor & IT Asset Management: Coordinate with external IT vendors, ISPs, and third-party software providers for troubleshooting, procurement, and system upgrades.
· User Support & Training: Provide first- and second-tier technical support to all hotel departments. Train employees on new software, IT policies, and best practices.
