Job Context:
∎ Senior DevOps/System Engineer will be a part of a team creating new solutions for a new market, maintaining software applications.
∎ The candidate should be a strong team player willing to take on different team roles and responsibilities, and who is a quick learner.
∎ The candidate will be part of various aspects and phases of support and development, interacting with customers, including requirements gathering and definition, design, system integration, and test.
∎ We are looking for young enthusiastic individuals who are passionate and very serious about technology services/operations. To be successful in this role, you will need to be skilled in MySQL, PostgreSQL replication, Redis, Docker, Nginx, Php, Python, and cloud (AWS, Digital Ocean, similar) services.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Collaborating in small, focused Agile teams with experienced engineers to perform full life cycle application and infrastructure process development;
∎ Awareness of the software delivery lifecycle strategic roadmaps that enable the success of quarterly objectives. This includes defining User Stories to enable the build-out of the strategic roadmap;
∎ Proposes and implements new software delivery pipeline process steps and ensures that all software components take advantage of new capabilities;
∎ Performs code reviews for team deliverables. Ensuring code follows documented standards and best practices;
∎ Building open communication with Product Owners, Software QA Engineers, Software Engineers, Project managers to understand and transform software engineering and IT process requirements into automated features;
∎ This job requires 24/7 on-demand support if required;
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 25 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Professional skills in MySql/PostgreSQL (Including Replication);
∎ Professional skills in Linux (RHEL, CentOS);
∎ Professional skills in designing & deploying scalable, highly available, cost-effective, fault-tolerant systems & infrastructure on AWS using EC2, RDS, IAM, S3, ELB, VPC, EBS, Route 53, Auto-Scaling, CloudWatch, etc. Services.
∎ Professional skills in Load Balancer (Nginx, HAProxy);
∎ Professional Skills in Redis (including redis cluster);
∎ Professional knowledge in Docker / docker-compose, Swarm, Kubernetes;
∎ Must have scripting language knowledge and/or (PHP, Python, Bash);
∎ Professional Skills in Source code versioning (Git, Bitbucket, Gitlab);
∎ Skills in troubleshooting high availability applications on PHP/Node.js using above stacks;
∎ Familiarity with JIRA Service Desk, Jenkins, Elasticsearch, Grafana, Kibana is a plus;
∎ This is a technical support position. Please do not apply if you are non-technical.
