1. Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe illustrator/ Photo shop/ Corel/ PowerPoint)
2. Strong creative and artistic skills with a keen eye for detail.
3. Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
4. Knowledge of fabric types, garment construction, and manufacturing processes.
5. In-depth knowledge in graphic design and product development.
6. A minimum 7-8 years of experience in apparel product design-Women’s wear and kids wear, with a focus on fashion and trends
7. Preference will be given to those candidates who have proven experience in graphic design and product development

Job Context:

We are looking for a highly skilled, motivated and creative Senior Designer/ Designer (Apparel) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in apparel design, exceptional design skills, and the ability to contribute to the development of innovative and market-leading apparel products.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the end-to-end design process for seasonal collections, from concept development and sampling to final product.
2. Develop themes, collect inspirations, and prepare mood boards for the new collections.
3. Create detailed design specifications, including sketches, technical drawings, and material selection.
4. Ensure seasonal design requirements are fulfilled and create designs accordingly
5. Fully understand the brand requirements and create artworks accordingly.
6. Design any garment, from tops to bottoms, for women and kids.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand design requirements and product concepts.
8. Participate in product development meetings to discuss design concepts, feasibility, and timelines.
9. Collaborate with merchandising and marketing teams to align product designs with brand strategies.
10. Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure the successful execution of designs.
11. Source fabrics, accessories, and different embellishments for new development if necessary
12. Conduct product quality checks and revisions to meet design standards.
13. Prepare detailed trend analyses and forecast new styles.
14. Prepare the specifications and information sheet in technical artwork.
15. Stay updated on industry trends, market research, and customer preferences.
16. Any other relevant task assigned by the line manager.
17. Embroideries and fabric knowledge for both woven’s and jersey.
18. Create sketches, detailed tech packs, line sheets, and seasonal ranges
19. Trend and brand analysis
20. Conceptualizing stories/ mood boards
21. Well versed with international trends and brands in the UK, US, EU markets
22. Should be able to set up independent Showroom presentations for clients
23. Knowledge of Adobe illustrator/ Photo shop/ Corel/ PowerPoint
24. Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines and calendars
25. Strong interpersonal skills verbal/ written and visual
