Job Context:
∎ At Cefalo, we are currently looking for few talented and experienced Big Data Engineers, including leading roles, who will get chance to work for one of the largest fashion retailers and e-commerce platforms in the Scandinavian market having more than 1.500 retail stores across 8 countries. The selected candidates will be responsible for expanding and optimizing data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross functional teams.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Working with big data tools like Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, Luigi, Pig, Hive, Impala etc.
∎ Building data lakes on the cloud (AWS, Google Cloud) using tools like Docker, Kubernetes etc.
∎ Developing big data engineering solutions using Scala / Java / Python
∎ Working with SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL and Cassandra
∎ Optimizing data systems and building them from the ground up for one of the largest fashion retailers and e-commerce platforms in the Scandinavian market
∎ Working for some of the big companies in Europe as on-site consultant
∎ Building, expanding and optimizing data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross functional teams
∎ Working closely with highly experienced developers, DB experts, data analysts/scientists, AI/ML engineers to optimize or even re-design data architecture to support next generation of data initiatives

Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 3 years professional experience in building and optimizing ‘big data’ pipelines, architectures and data sets
∎ Strong competence working with big data tools like Apache Spark, Kafka, Hadoop etc. is a must!
∎ Professional level experience working with Scala (if not, then Python or Java) to build big data solutions
∎ Prior experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Luigi, Airflow or similar tools.
∎ Knowledge of big data querying tools, such as Pig, Hive, Impala etc.
∎ Experience working with and building data lakes on the cloud, using tools like Docker, Kubernetes etc.
∎ Good understanding of Lambda architecture, along with its advantages and drawbacks
∎ Sound knowledge on SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL and Cassandra
∎ Passionate about big data and data engineering; passion for implementing fast and scalable solutions to real world problems
∎ Self managed, independent, initiative and proactive. Open to learn new technologies.
∎ Mindset to code and do code review for continuous improvement.
∎ Must have very good problem solving and analytical abilities. Those who participated in programming contests and/or solved contest problems will get priority.

Salary:
∎ Tk. 100000 - 200000 (Monthly)
