ACHIEVEMENTS:

• Must be professionally eligible to sign and certify architectural drawings submitted to RAJUK and other relevant authorities in Bangladesh.
• Practical experience in obtaining approvals from RAJUK and other regulatory authorities.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 10–15 years of professional experience in architectural design, project planning, and execution, preferably in large-scale commercial, healthcare, education, or mixed-use developments.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex architectural projects from concept to completion.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Candidates with proven experience in working and coordinating effectively with international consultants, overseas professionals, and cross-functional global teams will be given preference.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Strong architectural design, planning, and space management skills.
• Excellent knowledge of local building codes, BNBC, zoning regulations, and statutory approval processes.
• Proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, BIM, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong project management and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and mentoring abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to prepare and review design drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical documentation.

To support the Group's ongoing and upcoming development initiatives, we are seeking an experienced, creative, and technically competent Senior Architect to lead architectural planning, design development, statutory approvals, and construction coordination.

Job Summary: The Senior Architect will be responsible for leading architectural design, planning, regulatory approvals, consultant coordination, and construction support for the Company's projects. The incumbent will oversee projects from concept development through completion, ensuring compliance with company requirements, Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC), and all applicable statutory regulations. The role also requires the ability to review, certify, and sign architectural drawings for submission to RAJUK and other relevant authorities, where professionally authorized.

Reporting to: Chief Engineer, STS Group

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead architectural planning, conceptual design, and design development for commercial, healthcare, educational, residential, hospitality, and mixed-use projects.
• Develop innovative, functional, sustainable, and cost-effective architectural solutions.
• Prepare and review schematic designs, detailed design drawings, construction drawings, specifications, and as-built drawings.
• Review and approve architectural drawings prepared by consultants and junior architects.
• Prepare and certify architectural drawings for submission to RAJUK, CDA, KDA, RDA, and other statutory authorities, where professionally authorized.
• Ensure all architectural designs comply with Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC), Fire & Life Safety Codes, accessibility standards, and applicable regulations.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, landscape, interior design, and other consultants to ensure proper integration of all disciplines.
• Liaise with RAJUK and other regulatory authorities to obtain necessary approvals and statutory clearances.
• Conduct design review meetings and resolve architectural and technical issues.
• Provide architectural guidance throughout the construction phase and conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is executed according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, mock-ups, and architectural finishes.
• Resolve site-related architectural issues and provide technical support to project teams.
• Prepare project budgets, architectural cost estimates, and monitor project expenditures.
• Develop project schedules and ensure timely completion of architectural deliverables.
• Ensure projects are delivered within approved budget, quality standards, and timelines.
• Identify project risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
• Supervise, mentor, and guide architects, draftsmen, and design coordinators.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Evaluate new building materials, construction technologies, and sustainable design practices for project implementation.
• Support procurement by reviewing architectural specifications, materials, and technical documents.
• Prepare project reports and presentations for management when required.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management related to architectural design and project execution.
