Education:

• Bachelor Degree in Speech and Language Therapy. Candidates having any other relevant degree with relevant clinical experience is also encouraged to apply.

• Age At most 45 years

• Good written & spoken communication in English and Bengali

• Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills

• Ability to work independently and in a team.

• Team Working, planning and organizing

• Willingness to undertake extensive field trip

• Prepared to work for long hours in case of emergency in challenging humanitarian context.

Job Description:

1. Speech and language therapy screening and assessment at home and camp setting. Periodically s/he needs to travel to BhasanChar as a part of the flying team.
2. Preparation of the treatment plan and follow up Therapy services
3. Provide Therapeutic interventions as required
4. Selection of appropriate assistive device for clients as required
5. Supervise the activities of the therapy assistants and volunteers
6. Provide caregivers training on continuing home exercise and related therapeutic activities.
7. Refer the clients to appropriate internal and external facilities and services, including medical services
8. Gather and analyze the unmet need data to do the advocacy at the related government and non-government offices for ensuring available mainstream services for people with disabilities
9. Support to produce reports (e.g., case studies, lesson learned reports, client`s progress report) on short notice
10. Any other relevant task/s, as delegated by line manager.

CDD is accepting application for the position of Rehabilitation Officer under a project titled, ‘Inclusive Emergency Assistance to Crisis-affected Rohingya Population in CXB and BC, Bangladesh’ to be implemented with the support of Handicap International – Humanity & Inclusion (HI). The duration of the project is till 31st December 2024.
