∎ Age at least 25 years
∎ 2-3 years’ experience with Relevant project with a focus on vulnerable groups will be given as advantage mainly in Barishal area.
∎ Be registered with the local association.
∎ Previous NGO experience.
∎ Computer knowledge (MS office package- both in English and Bangla).
∎ Able to work in harsh conditions.
∎ Good physical condition.
∎ The strong teamwork approaches.
∎ Communication skills in verbal and written Bangla.
∎ Knowledge of disability and development issues in Bangladesh.
∎ Sensitized on the issues related to child protection, protection of gender-based violence, etc.
∎ Experienced in Humanitarian Context, preferably in the fields of rehabilitation and inclusion.
∎ Experience working in a multidisciplinary context.
∎ Applicable framework documents: to be defined.
∎ Own laptop and own bike with valid driving license is preferable.
∎ Experience and comprehensive understanding of disability issues, awareness-raising, and training implementation and reporting.
∎ Experience working in a remote community setting is an advantage.
∎ Knowledge of disability and development issues in Bangladesh.
∎ Have the capacity to maintain close relationships with partners, stakeholders, and clients.
∎ Ability to work under pressure and in a multicultural team environment.
∎ Availability to travel to remote areas and spend time at the field level.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Throughout weekly plans, conduct door-to-door visits to support the identification and data collection of persons with disabilities.
∎ Ensure the data entry and documentation of information in line with standard operating procedures and data governance as well as international standards through guidance from the Technical Unit.
∎ Communicate and link with other Organizations (Govt./ Private), For referrals (PSS, protection, rehabilitation, and Service Linkage), to ensure a comprehensive approach.
∎ Coordinate with the Camp Health Sector and health actors.
∎ Support the Inclusion officer (HI) in mapping & Provide existing Rehab services in the area.
∎ Ensure external referrals and follow-up, by gathering feedback on service provided for documentation.
∎ Closely follow up on individual and familial cases to ensure timely follow-up of all the beneficiaries.
∎ Place referral of beneficiaries identified for specialized service when necessary.
∎ Ensure proper documentation and reporting as required by HI/ AVAS.
∎ Ensure the beneficiaries sign the necessary document when the provision of items/devices.
∎ Closely work with the Accessibility officer when planning and implementing any accessibility work for the beneficiary and ensure the proper user training for the beneficiary and caregiver.
∎ Work in close collaboration with the volunteer, ensuring the quality of service.
∎ Perform other tasks as requested by line management and technical unit.
∎ Demonstrate ethics and professional practice.
∎ Respect the beneficiaries’ confidentiality.
∎ Report any incident or act that causes any harm to the beneficiary or others.
∎ Always ask permission to touch or apply any treatment or maneuvers to someone.
∎ Always respect a refusal of treatment.

∎ Responsibility1:Provision of Physical and Functional Rehabilitation:
∎ Provide rehabilitation care to the most critical and high-priority cases according to the guidelines & rehabilitation interventions.
∎ Prescreening and prioritization for accurate assessment, planning, and provision of appropriate Rehabilitation service to the beneficiaries, including ongoing evaluation/reassessment of the beneficiaries, within the constraints of the project resources at the beneficiaries’ home, and where relevant.
∎ Familiarize yourself with the global physical and functional rehabilitation approaches.
∎ Inform the beneficiary and the caregiver importance of rehabilitation services to improve the physical situation and daily function.
∎ Offer rehabilitation services based on the defined objectives between the beneficiary and the caregiver.
∎ Refer for medical advice if needed. (DO NO HARM).
∎ Advice and train the beneficiary and the caregivers on the basic exercises that the beneficiary can do on his/her own or with/without support from caregivers on the way to prevent complications or disabling situation.
∎ Provide guidance and support to the Rehabilitation Assistants in managing cases or as needed.

∎ Responsibility 2: Provision of Assistive Devices and Rehabilitation:

∎ Equipment Management:
∎ Identify the beneficiary’s needs (for critical and high-priority cases) in terms of assistive devices and mobility aids.
∎ Ensure that the device is adapted to user needs and provide clear explanations to guarantee its safe and proper use and maintenance.
∎ Ensure a proper follow-up on the use and wean off the assistive device.
∎ Ensure the provision of assistive devices is made according to the strategy (quality and quantity) and the needs identified.
∎ Enhance and Ensure quality by supporting Technical Officer (TO)- Rehabilitation in the provision of assistive devices and rehabilitation equipment.
∎ Plan and utilize the local resources to ensure reasonable accommodation for the beneficiary where needed Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of rehabilitation activities, expenditures, and outcomes.
∎ Prepare timely and accurate reports for donors, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
∎ Evaluate program impact and identify lessons learned for future improvements.
