  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in NGO/INGO settings, preferably with a focus on gender, youth engagement, or community mobilization.

  • Demonstrated experience in organizing community campaigns, workshops, and advocacy events.

  • Strong skills in documentation, data collection, and reporting.

  • Proven ability to coordinate with government departments, particularly Women Affairs at district and upazila levels.

  • Excellent communication skills in Bangla (mandatory) and English (desirable).

  • Good command of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills to build effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines under pressure.



Responsibilities & Context:

Summary: Bangladesh Association for Community Education (BACE) a Non-Governmental and Non-Profit making voluntary organization was established in 1977 by a group of distinguished individuals concerned with education and human resource development to the disadvantaged people in Bangladesh. Currently BACE is implementing SHOMBHABONA Project funded by UNFPA and supported by ActionAid Bangladesh at Jamalpur District.

About the SHOMBHABONA Project

The SHOMBHABONA Project aims to reduce child marriage and transform harmful social norms by engaging with communities, government agencies, civil society organizations, and youth groups. The project focuses on strengthening grassroots advocacy, promoting gender-equitable practices, and empowering young people to challenge traditional practices that perpetuate child marriage.

Through advocacy campaigns, community mobilization, capacity building, and district- and upazila-level events, SHOMBHABONA works to create a supportive environment where girls and boys can enjoy equal rights and opportunities.

Job Summary

The District Facilitator will play a key role in the district-level implementation of the SHOMBHABONA Project. This position is responsible for coordinating project activities, maintaining effective communication with the Department of Women Affairs (DWA), UNFPA field officer, and other government and non-government stakeholders, as well as ensuring smooth execution of advocacy initiatives, campaigns, and community events.

The facilitator will oversee field-level implementation, ensure quality documentation, and strengthen collaboration between civil society organizations, youth groups, and government agencies to drive sustainable impact. The role requires frequent travel across districts and upazilas.

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to)

  • Lead district and upazila-level implementation of advocacy campaigns and social norm-shifting initiatives against child marriage.

  • Maintain regular communication and coordination with youth ambassadors, District and Upazila Women Affairs Departments, UNFPA field officer, and other GOB and non-governmental stakeholders for smooth project delivery.

  • Coordinate and support value clarification sessions with the male household members of VWB and Jibikayon program participants and reference groups.

  • Facilitate collaboration with local CSOs, youth groups, and other organizations for effective grassroots mobilization.

  • Organize and provide logistical and technical support in training activities, including cascading sessions for community members under the Norm-Shift Accelerator model.

  • Organize district-level media engagement initiatives to amplify advocacy messages.

  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor activities, provide implementation support, and ensure adherence to project standards.

  • Collect, analyze, and document case stories, success stories, best practices, challenges and lessons learned.

  • Manage and update participant databases, prepare reports, and submit timely documentation as per project requirements.

  • Ensure consistent communication flow between local stakeholders and the central project team.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor in alignment with project objectives.

    • Salary and Benefits: Consolidated salary of BDT 35,000 per month
