Qualifications: Education: 

Ø  Bachelor`s degree in Textile Technology, Handicraft Design, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Ø  Diploma in Handicrafts, Arts & Crafts, or Quality Assurance will be an added advantage. v

Skills:

Ø  Strong attention to detail and a good eye for design and craftsmanship.

Ø  Knowledge of natural fiber materials like hogla leaves and their properties.

Ø  Good communication and leadership skills to train and coordinate with production teams.

Ø  Familiarity with quality control methodologies and standards.  

Experience: 

Ø  Below Five (5) years or more will get priority of experience in quality control in handicrafts, textile manufacturing, or a related industry.

Ø  Previous experience working with natural materials, eco-friendly products, or traditional crafts is preferred.

Ø  Hands-on experience in production processes and a deep understanding of handicraft-making techniques is an added advantage.

Ø  For recent graduates, priority will be given to those with exceptional skills in handicraft items.

Ø Conduct thorough inspections of all handicraft products made from hogla leaves, Jute, Jute Bunny-Basket, Table Mats, Floor Mats, Flower Basket, Handbags, Cap, Seagrass-Basket, Table Mats, Floor Mats, Flower Basket, Plam Leaf-Basket, tray, Flower Basket Rattan-Basket, Table Mats, Floor Mats, Flower Basket, Handbags, Rugs-Handbags, Nokshikatha, Water Hyacinth, Bucket Tissue box-fruit basket, Flower Basket including mats, baskets, bags, table mats, wall hangings, umbrellas, floor mats, trays, containers, clothes baskets, mattresses, and vases, Household item & Office items

• Ensure Quality international standard products meet design, specifications, durability, and aesthetic standards.
• Material Quality Control: Inspect hogla leaves, Jute and other raw materials for quality, ensuring they are free from defects, properly dried, and suitable for production.
• Verify that the materials used are eco-friendly and meet sustainability standards.
• Production Monitoring: Supervise the production process to ensure each item is crafted according to the approved design and quality standards.
• Monitor craftsmanship and finishing to ensure that the weaving, stitching, and construction are durable and defects-free.
• Compliance with Standards: Ensure all products comply with safety, environmental, and export regulations where applicable.
• Develop and maintain quality standards that align with local and international markets.
• Defect Analysis: Identify product defects and analyze their causes, providing feedback to the production team to prevent recurrence.
• Implement corrective actions for quality improvement in production.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of inspections, defects, and corrective actions taken.
• Prepare quality reports and present findings to management for process improvement.
• Team Training: Train production staff on quality standards and inspection techniques to ensure consistent quality across all products.
• Ensure all staff understands the importance of quality in handcraft production.
• Continuous Improvement: Suggest process improvements to enhance the quality of handicrafts and reduce waste.
• Stay updated on trends in handicraft production and integrate best practices into the quality control process.
