∎ We are looking for an experienced backend engineer to lead, build, manage and own backend services and infrastructure that power our core product and platform. The ideal candidate must have expert knowledge in Python/Django and have experience writing low latency, large scale distributed systems.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Architect and develop a complete backend system for our product from scratch.
∎ Design large scale systems within a team, making the right tradeoffs for risk and long-term maintainability.
∎ Lead, build, test, and release product-facing features with 99.999% correctness and scalability requirements; these features could be related to market data, trading, accounting, authentication, or security.
∎ Proactively identify and drive optimizations and improvements to the product.
∎ Build, test, and release product-facing features with stringent correctness and scalability requirements. These features could be related to market data, trading, accounting, authentication, or security.
∎ Design a solution with other engineers to fix a scalability problem and then implement it.
∎ Collaborate with our frontend team to fine tune our REST API and with our data team to support hundreds of thousands of customers.
∎ Provide infrastructure and tooling to automate test development and execution up and down the testing pyramid, including unit, API and integration testing
∎ Define and formalize the architecture design process and guide the overall architectural direction
∎ Provide the infrastructure to automate and standardize how software is built, versioned and deployed to target environments
∎ Transition the organization to an immutable, container-based infrastructure on Kubernetes via a self-service platform-as-a-service that enables engineers to generate, deploy and operate fully functional microservice stacks
