Job Context:
∎ Agrow Fruits And Vegetables Ltd. is one of the sister concerns of Khaled Group, is a state-of-the-art aseptic fruits & vegetables pulping plant located in Chapai Nawabganj. The above-mentioned position will be responsible to source raw materials ensuring quality, competitive price & on schedule. In this context, Agrow Fruits And Vegetables Ltd. is looking for proactive, qualified, and experienced Purchase Officer.
∎ • Business unit: Agrow Fruits And Vegetables Ltd.
∎ • Reports to (Position): Sr. Manager, Sourcing & Marketing.
∎ • Department / Function: Sourcing
∎ • Purpose of the job: Ensure sourcing of quality product / raw material at competitive price & on schedule to meet production schedule. Work closely with Production, Quality Control, Logistics, Warehousing and Marketing to ensure safe and efficient raw material sourcing production requirements are being met while maintaining strict product quality guidelines and expectations.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Strong value proposition for farmers.
∎ Conduct direct local farmer sourcing. This includes highly perishable and daily purchase products.
∎ Build a sustainable and scalable sourcing network.
∎ Responsible for fulfillment and pipeline building for local sourcing products.
∎ Explore new farming cluster for around the year supply at competitive market prices.
∎ Develop a high-performance sourcing team.
∎ Set clear goals, incentive structure and targets and drive them effectively.
∎ Improve the productivity of the sourcing team by identifying and filling the current training gaps and performance management systems.
∎ Check requisition Monthly, weekly, daily and buy the product as per requisition.
∎ Perform inventory inspections and record supplies and stock as necessary.
∎ Collect competitive price from suppliers & prepare a comparative statement for management decision.
∎ Conduct product research and source new suppliers and vendors.
∎ Procure at the right time, in the right quantity, and of the right quality.
∎ Update and maintain records of all orders, payments, and received stock collecting quotations, prepare comparative analysis Inspection and acceptance of goods, verification of invoices and submission of payment requests.
∎ Coordinate with general stores for delivery of goods & receipt of the requisition, documentation on a timely basis.
∎ Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analysis
∎ Proper control of sourcing budgets.
∎ Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage.
∎ Have sound knowledge on SAP.
∎ Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the management
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 35 years
∎ Able to ride motorbike and must have valid motorcycle driving license.
∎ Good communication skill and operate computer and familiar to use ERP software.
∎ Must have experience on sourcing and purchasing of large scale agro fruits and vegetables
Salary: Negotiable
