Responsibilities & Context:
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise overall hatchery operations including production, laboratory and daily activities.
- Manage, guide and monitor hatchery workers and assign daily responsibilities.
- Ensure smooth operation of larval rearing, nursery management and production activities.
- Monitor and maintain daily production targets and operational standards.
- Supervise laboratory activities including water quality testing, larval observation and reporting.
- Review laboratory reports and take necessary actions based on water quality and larval condition.
- Monitor feeding schedules, feed usage and larval growth performance.
- Check shrimp eggs, nauplii, zoea, mysis and post-larvae quality through coordination with lab team.
- Ensure proper biosecurity, hygiene and disinfection procedures are followed.
- Maintain daily production records, laboratory data and prepare reports for management.
- Coordinate with different departments and report operational issues to management.
- Train and motivate workers to maintain proper work standards.
- Monitor tank cleaning, maintenance activities and proper use of equipment.
- Ensure safe handling of chemicals, equipment and laboratory materials.
- Identify problems during production and take corrective actions.
