Educational Requirements:
∎ LL.B. (Hon's) or LL.M. from any reputed University/Institutions with all second class/ division or equivalent GPA/ CGPA in academic examinations.

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 2 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Legal officers will provide legal counselling support across the target areas were BRAC provides legal assistance.
∎ She/he will provide the mediation in Community Centers and other appropriate community structures.
∎ She/he will organize training, workshops and advocacy sessions across the spectrum of official and legal authorities in the area, support of specialist trainers will be sought when required.
∎ Support cases who requested to pursue law with collaborate representative.
∎ Produce and up-date fact-sheets.
∎ Maintain records, files and other related documents.
∎ Prepare daily and monthly report.
∎ Organize and conduct Legal Awareness workshops with Rohingya/Host community people, Majhi, Imam .
∎ Implementing all planned activities of the programme.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programmes goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Enrollment in Bar Council as an Advocate including at least 2 years practical experience in respective local court.
∎ Familiar with GBV case management and experience working with refugees
∎ Must adhere to GBV/CP Core Guiding Principles and international humanitarian principles and standards for GBViE/ CPiE
∎ Cultural awareness and sensitivity, prior experience in Rohingya camps is preferable
∎ Strong background and skills in facilitating trainings, coaching and mentoring others
∎ Knowledge on national and international laws and policies applicable to refugees.
∎ Experience in program/project management;
∎ IT literate with knowledge of MS word, Excel and internet programs.
∎ Able to travel frequently at different project location
∎ Applicants,the residence of Chattogram and Cox's Bazar will be given preference.
∎ Flexibility to handle varied and demanding task and ability to balance priorities.
∎ Women are encouraged to apply.
∎ Drafting and reporting skills, accuracy in document production.
∎ Knowledge of English and Bangla. Excellent English drafting and reporting skills are required.
