Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
Minimum 1–5 years of relevant experience in project planning, execution, and team management.
Prior experience in oil & gas, construction, or industrial projects preferred.
Understanding of cost estimation, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Familiarity with safety, quality, and compliance standards (HSE, ISO).
Excellent leadership and team coordination skills.
Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation abilities.
Effective communication (both verbal and written).
Proficiency in preparing project reports, progress updates, and documentation.
Project Planning & Initiation
Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, success criteria.
Prepare the project charter, work breakdown structure (WBS), resource plan, schedule, budget.
Secure necessary permits, approvals, regulatory clearances.
Budgeting & Cost Control
Monitor costs during design, procurement, construction, commissioning.
Manage changes in scope and associated cost variations.
Ensure financial reporting (forecast vs actual) to senior management.
Schedule / Time Management
Maintain the project schedule; track progress vs plan.
Manage resource assignments, ensure manpower, equipment, materials are available when needed.
Identify schedule risks (weather, supply chain, regulatory delays) and implement mitigation.
Quality Assurance & Technical Oversight
Ensure technical standards, codes, and specifications are met.
Oversee engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning phases ensuring quality.
Review and approve designs, test plans, vendor documents.
Ensure inspections, testing (FAT, SAT, NDT, etc.) are done properly.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) & Regulatory Compliance
Enforce safety protocols on site; ensure compliance with HSE policies/regulations.
Identify hazards, perform risk assessments / Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
Ensure environmental protections, minimize impacts, manage waste, emissions, spills.
Ensure all legal and regulatory requirements are met (local / national laws, environmental laws, etc.).
Procurement & Contract Management
Prepare RFQs / bids for vendors / contractors; select suppliers.
Negotiate contracts, manage subcontractors.
Oversee procurement schedule, quality of supplied goods/equipment.
Monitor contract variations, claims, change orders.
Stakeholder / Team Management
Assemble and lead multidisciplinary teams (engineering, construction, procurement, QA/QC, HSE, etc.).
Communicate progress & issues to internal stakeholders (senior management, finance, operations) and external (regulators, clients, contractors, local communities).
Manage expectations, ensure transparency.
Risk Management
Identify risks (technical, financial, environmental, logistical, etc.).
Evaluate risks and define mitigation / contingency plans.
Monitor risk register, take corrective action when necessary.
Logistics and Supply Chain Coordination
Manage delivery schedules for equipment, materials.
Handle transportation, customs, storage, handling heavy lifts, last-mile delivery.
Ensure supply chain reliability and mitigate disruptions.
Project Execution & Monitoring
Monitor progress (work completed, quality, safety, schedule, cost).
Implement corrective actions when deviations occur.
Maintain documentation, progress reports.
Use project control tools, dashboards for tracking KPIs.
