Educational Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Effective & efficient implementation of the climate change adaptation programme was delivered with high impact, in line with agreed aims, and with funds used for designated purposes.
∎ Ensure a high-quality implementation for climate-smart adaptation and solutions around WASH, Health, Livelihood, Protections
∎ Provided technical expertise to develop & functional the monitoring systems to enhance documentationcoordinating with partner/donors & project MEAL person.
∎ Support the Executive Director of AVAS in maintaining relationships and building new representing AVAS for effective communication with relevant stakeholders.
∎ Ensure project progress tracking, donor & government reporting as per the designated purposes.
∎ Communication with relevant senior-level government and private/corporate sector i.e., Mayor of BCC, DC, UNO, Civil Surgeon, Water Development Board, LGED, DPHE, DD-Health, Ward Counselor, relevant Government Department, UN, INGO, Community Leaders etc.
∎ Team management.
∎ Support the challenges (barriers) that need to be reduced as well as the good practices (resources) that need to be promoted.
∎ Contribute to the setup and smooth running of accountability mechanisms.
∎ Document project learning.
∎ Establish and function a CRM process in the project area.
∎ Ensure safeguarding mechanism in staff and community level
∎ Ensure that activities are implemented and that resources are correctly allocated as per Project Documents.
∎ Ensure regular reporting of activities, and contribute to the internal and external reporting.
∎ Contribute to identifying areas of the project in which adjustments are required and put forward adaptations to AVAS Management and CAID.
∎ Reporting to the Executive Director of AVAS/recruiting agency; you will work to deliver an effective climate change adaptation (as per designed interventions of the assigned project particularly WaSH, Health, Protection, Livelihood, DRR-Climate Change) with high impact, in line with agreed aims and with funds used for designated purposes. You must ensure that project progress tracking and donor reporting as per the designated purposes are in place. Ensure technical assistance to the project staff (a minimum of 26 staff) that project activities are implemented accordingly. Support Executive Director of AVAS and the Project Team in maintaining relationships and building new with relevant stakeholders & donors accordingly.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 35 years
∎ Knowledge on the development landscape in particular climate policies of both national and international levels and core humanitarian standard
∎ Excellent understanding and experience in delivering climate-smart WASH, Livelihood, Protection, Health & Self-reliance/skill building under climate change adaptation programming.
∎ Positive mentality towards working with the marginalized climate-induced migrants, residing in the urban slums in Barishal.
∎ Excellent facilitation and communication skills with relevant senior-level government and private/corporate sector i.e., Mayor of BCC, DC, UNO, Civil Surgeon, Water Development Board, LGED, DPHE, DD-Health, Ward Counselor, relevant Government Department, UN, INGO, Community Leaders etc.
∎ Solid understanding of Development Project Cycle Management (PCM) and capability to implement accordingly.
∎ Candidate's Own bike with valid driving license is preferable.
∎ Excellence in maintaining constructive working relationships with project team, external & internal counterparts for the effective and smooth operations through team approach.
∎ Excellent verbal and written competencies in Bangla and English.
∎ Capability to ensure required quality reporting and documentations; clear understanding on MEAL-related issues (LFA, Baseline, End line, IPTT, PvA, establishment of CFRM, auctioning and adjustment etc).
∎ Procurement and financial management, policy compliances, and local compliances.
∎ Ability to work under pressure.
Salary:
∎ Tk. 50000 - 57000 (Monthly)
∎ Salary will be determined based on experience, qualification and budget availability.
Travel cost for project activity will be provided in actual basis.
There is no Festival Bonus in this project.
