Additional Requirements: - 3+ years of experience in project management, advocacy, or community development, preferably in humanitarian or refugee contexts.
- Strong understanding of protection, advocacy, and community engagement principles.
- Demonstrated experience of working in bilateral or multilateral donor set-up.
- Previous working experience of SDC and GAC supported programmes is an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement and volunteer coordination.
- Proficiency in monitoring, evaluation, and reporting (M&E) frameworks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of Rohingya/Chittagoinian and Bangla is an advantage.

Responsibilities & Context: Project Manager – Rohingya Advocacy Center (RAC)
Start Date: Immediate
Term: Full-time (40 hours per week)
Hire Type: Contract (18 months with possibility of extension)
Location: Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh (with occasional travel to Dhaka)
Reports to: Project Director, RAC
Contract Duration: 18 months, with the possibility of extension, based on performance and funding.
Work Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, with flexibility required for field activities and travel.
BACKGROUND
The Rohingya Advocacy Center (RAC) is a newly established initiative aimed at empowering the Rohingya community in Cox’s Bazar. RAC strives to strengthen the voices of the Rohingya in policy dialogues and international engagements, focusing on leadership & skill development, protection & anti-trafficking measures, and cultural preservation. RAC is committed to creating a platform for community-driven advocacy and fostering partnerships with government agencies, donors, NGOs, UN bodies, and academic institutions.
JOB SUMMARY
The Project Manager will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of RAC’s programs. The manager will be responsible for coordinating field activities, liaising with stakeholders, and ensuring the successful delivery of RAC’s advocacy and protection initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Implementation:
- Coordinate and oversee the implementation of RAC’s advocacy, protection and cultural programs in Cox’s Bazar.
- Assist in developing and executing program action plan as per the approved budget.
- Ensure alignment of activities with RAC’s strategic objectives and donor requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, UN organizations, NGOs, and local community leaders.
- Act as the focal point for community consultations and ensure the inclusion of Rohingya voices in program planning and execution.
- Represent RAC at local forums, meetings, and stakeholder events. Volunteer and Community Coordination:· Identify, recruit, and train community volunteers, particularly youth and women, to serve as advocates and facilitators.
- Provide ongoing support and mentorship to volunteers to strengthen their capacity for community-led advocacy.
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting:
- Support monitoring and evaluation (M&E) framework design and implementation to track program progress.
- Collect data, prepare periodic reports, and document best practices and lessons learned for future programming.
- Maintain detailed records of activities, participants, and expenses for reporting purposes.
Advocacy and Communication:
- Organize and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and community events.
- Develop advocacy materials, including brochures, reports, and media content.
