Job Summary:

The Project Engineer plays a key role in planning, coordinating, and executing real estate development projects from concept to completion. This role involves supporting project management teams in technical design coordination, construction supervision, cost control, quality assurance, and ensuring that timelines and specifications are met.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning & Coordination

• Assist in preparing project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.

• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.

• Review drawings, technical specifications, and design documents for compliance and constructability.

• Ensure that all statutory approvals and NOCs are obtained before project execution.

2. Construction Supervision

• Monitor day-to-day construction activities on-site to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to plans.

• Conduct site inspections, verify progress, and ensure corrective actions for deviations.

• Support the Project Manager in managing contractors and subcontractors to maintain project timelines.

3. Quality & Safety Management

• Ensure compliance with quality standards, materials specifications, and approved construction methodologies.

• Oversee quality control testing of materials and work execution.

• Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards at project sites.

4. Cost & Progress Monitoring

• Assist in project cost tracking, measurement, and certification of contractor bills.

• Maintain accurate project documentation including progress reports, site logs, and meeting minutes.

• Support value engineering initiatives and recommend cost-effective solutions.

5. Communication & Reporting

• Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports and update senior management on key issues.

• Coordinate with procurement teams for timely delivery of materials and services.

• Liaise with government bodies, local authorities, and consultants as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Bachelor of Science (BSc) or Diploma in Civil Engineering.

• Experience: 6 years practical experience required for BSc certified engineer, but minimum 10 years practical experience required for Diploma certified engineer

• Practical experience in construction jobs related to High-raised buildings with minimum 2 Basement construction project.

• Experience in Real estate development, construction management, or infrastructure projects will get preference.

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and safety standards.

• Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera) and CAD & BOQ software.

• Familiarity with local building codes, permits, and regulatory processes.

• Knowledge of maintaining Electrical, Plumbing & Interior decoration tasks.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination abilities.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder project management skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
