Experience:

• At least 10 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Research Organization

• Master of Arts (MA) in Social Science

• Masters in Social Sciences from a reputed university. 

• At least 10 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Research Organization

• Age At most 45 years

• 10 years in development organisations along with at least 5 years’ experience in leading, managing and implementing projects on human rights, including gender and identity-based violence.

• Sound knowledge of human rights, gender, women empowerment, diversity, gender and identity-based violence, discriminatory social norms, non-violence etc.

• Knowledge on target group selection from marginalised communities

• Able to make effective plan and optimum utilization of available resources

• Knowledge on context analysis, data analysis, MIS and evaluation process

• Knowledge on general administration, project and financial management

• Must have efficiency in supervision of field staff, facilitation of meetings, dialogues, seminars, workshops etc..

• Able to develop training modules and conduct training need assessment.

• Good analytical skill and ability to work under pressure

• Able to prepare quantitative and qualitative reports

• Good written and oral communication skills in English and Bangla

• Computer literacy on MS Word, Excel, Power point and more

• Able to drive motor cycle with valid driving license.

Job Context

Research Initiatives Bangladesh (RIB), a non-government Organization is looking for a dynamic Project Coordinator for the project “Strengthening the human rights and social participation of marginalised groups in Bangladesh with specific focus on women and girls (short: HOPE)” funded by the BMZ and NETZ-Bangladesh

Job Location: Jashore and Satkhira, PC will sit in Tala, Satkhira RIB’s local office. 

Responsibilities:

• Ensure project goals and impact are achieved through effective and efficient project management.

• Monitor and ensure quality implementation of project activities.

• Provide strong leadership, support capacity building, on-job coaching and mentoring to the project team.

• Ensure smooth functioning of financial management in compliance with accepted standards.

• Provide conceptual and strategic guidance to the team members, especially on human rights, gender, women empowerment, diversity, gender and identity-based violence, discriminatory social norms, non-violence etc.

• Develop an annual and monthly work plan.

• Prepare monthly and annual quantitative and qualitative reports.

• Ensure optimum and efficient use of project resources.

• Ensure capacity building of different groups at schools and community at Union, Upazila and District level.

• Organise and facilitate local and regional meetings, workshops and seminars and all other public events

• Establish and continue formal and informal linkage/network with the community, local authorities, government officials, local leaders and other organizations.

• Provide support to conduct different research and studies under the project

• Monitor field activities and provide regular updates to the Project Director
