Position Summary:
The Project Coordinator will oversee team members and processes to ensure that projects are completed on time and meet their intended goals. S/he will be responsible for developing detailed project plans, securing and allocating resources, and delivering projects within budget and scope. This role requires an experienced leader with a strong understanding of current trends in organizational and staff development, along with effective peer mentoring strategies. Experience in hiring and managing staff is essential, and established connections with local community groups are a valuable asset. Above all, the Project Coordinator must demonstrate strong leadership, clear communication skills, and decisive action.
Job Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Implementation:
Develop and implement project strategies and work plans aligned with the objectives of the ToGETHER Program.
Lead the project team to ensure that goals are achieved within set timelines and budgets.
Oversee the creation of risk management plans and work schedules.
Conduct regular assessments to adjust project strategies according to evolving community needs.
Work closely with the head office team to ensure the seamless execution of all project activities.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain effective relationships with government officials, community leaders, and other key stakeholders in Sunamganj, Sylhet, Moulvibazar, and Habiganj.
Align project activities with local government initiatives and community needs.
Represent the ToGETHER Program at local forums, engaging with policymakers and community influencers.
Develop partnerships with local NGOs to achieve project objectives.
Team Leadership and Capacity Building:
Lead, train, and mentor project team members, fostering a culture of accountability, learning, and continuous improvement.
Identify and implement capacity-building initiatives for project staff and local humanitarian partners.
Conduct performance assessments, providing constructive feedback to enhance team performance.
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning:
Implement a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation framework to track project progress and outcomes.
Use data insights and feedback to inform project adjustments and improvements.
Work with the MEAL team to ensure timely and accurate data analysis.
Organize learning sessions to foster a culture of shared knowledge and improvement.
Financial Management and Compliance:
Oversee the financial management of the project, ensuring adherence to budgets and donor requirements.
Collaborate with the Finance and Accounts Officer to prepare and submit timely financial reports.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and organizational policies by implementing internal controls to manage risks.
Reporting and Documentation·
Prepare and submit regular project reports to internal and external stakeholders, highlighting key activities, outcomes, and lessons learned.
Maintain comprehensive records of project activities and results, contributing to the project’s knowledge base.
Prepare narrative report and success stories.
