  • S/he must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the development sector, including 4–5 years of experience in policy-level advocacy.

  • The candidate should be well conversant, with strong oral and written communication skills.

Job Context:

Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) is a non-government development organization founded in 1958 by Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah, an eminent educationist, reformer, and Sufi with the aim of social and spiritual development of entire human community. DAM has been contributing for the betterment of the disadvantaged population through operating 35 institutions and also 8 sectors of development. Health Sector is one of the core sectors of DAM which has also been operating 8 institutions and 15 projects.

DAM Health Sector is going to recruit a competent and self-motivated individual for the position of Project Coordinator of "Advocacy campaign project for front of package labeling (FOPL) in Bangladesh" Project implemented by Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM), funded by Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids (CTFK)-Global Health Advocacy Incubator (GHAI).

Job Responsibilities:

  • Working with donors to build future strategies by offering suggestions, as well as designing, planning, executing, monitoring, and evaluating project activities.

  • Providing technical assistance to the team members, particularly for actions relating to advocacy and policy.

  • Ensuring and promoting team spirit among the staff members, maintaining gender sensitivity and practicing organizational and project core principles and policies.

  • Formulating prescheduled reports and submitting to the development partners within the time frame.

  • Monitoring project activities, overseeing project staff members` performance, and, if needed, providing technical help on-site.

  • Organizing and facilitating monthly staff meetings to review progress, develop further strategies and plan for future actions to reach the contract conditions.

  • Developing the annual work plan with set targets (quality, coverage and goals), budget and project implementation reports.

  • Organizing and attending meetings, workshops, and trainings and representing the project and her as a DAM entity.

  • Working closely with stakeholders for effective implementation of the project activities as per set standards, strategies, and time period.

  • Maintaining close liaison with the relevant government bodies, other NGOs and private entities on FOPL movement.

  • Preparing periodic (monthly/quarterly/half-yearly) reports for timely submission to appropriate authority.
