Job Context:
∎ JOB PURPOSE: Strengthen the government health system and make functional selected GeneXpert and Truenat sites. Monitoring, supervision and taking appropriate measures to implement operational guidelines and maintenance of laboratory equipment in coordination with government, donor and Truenat suppliers.
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme`s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist to ensure designing, planning, budgeting, and project implementation as per plan
∎ Strengthen the government health system and make functional selected GeneXpert and Truenat sites
∎ Coordinated with government and donors for the optimum utilisation of truenat and selected GeneXpert machines
∎ Ensure logistics support to make the sites ready for performing Truenat tests and support other implementations as per need
∎ Collaborate with the Truenat supplier's (Mol bio/ Bio trade) staff for the installation and maintenance of the equipment at the selected sites
∎ On-site supervision and mentoring of MTs to improve their capacity for Truenat testing, recording, and reporting
∎ Build up the capacity of the frontline staff on Truenat service as per operational guidelines
∎ Assist to develop operational guidelines/ manuals/ SOPs related to the project
∎ Ensure forecasting, quantification, and supply chain of Laboratory reagent and other logistics/equipment.
∎ Ensure appropriate measures to troubleshoot the laboratories equipment as well as maintenance in consultation with the government and donors
∎ Ensure proper recording at field offices and health facilities
∎ Practice and promote BRAC Gender Policy. Support implementation of gender equality and women empowerment at all levels.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Knowledge on laboratory diagnosis of infectious diseases including specific hands-on laboratory experience
∎ Knowledge on TB Control Programme
∎ Knowledge on conduct training on quality assurance
∎ Knowledge on organisational procedure and project management
∎ Have proficiency in computer skills with all Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
∎ Excellent speaking and writing skill both in Bangla and English
∎ Excellent presentation, recording and reporting skills
∎ Excellent supervision and monitoring skills
∎ Excellent interpersonal, coordination and communication Skills
∎ Minimum 03 year's working experience with the relevant field
