Job Context:
∎ Seeking Production Manager for its Leather / synthetic leather Shoe manufacturing operations. The incumbent will be responsible to drive, monitor and control production operations (Cutting, Sewing & Finishing) of factory.
∎ Job Location: Gazipur (Office and Factory), Dhaka.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Direct and coordinate cutting, sewing and finishing operations in accordance to the shift wise planned production schedule
∎ Formulate work schedules for the production team and communicate expected deliveries to achieve the production targets and objectives
∎ Ensure efficient utilization of resources i.e. materials, labour, equipment to meet production targets and objectives
∎ Exhibit knowledge of layout planning, production process management while maintaining production schedule to adhere to shipment timelines
∎ Ensure complete adherence to organization's quality standards and practices keeping in mind quality and compliance requirements of international buyers
∎ Track the defined KPIs to have complete view of the production activities and take appropriate corrective actions to ensure adherence to the plan
∎ Resolve production operational issues by providing technical expertise and insights to the team
∎ Ensure final product in adherence to buyer requirements and specifications
∎ Drive and implement inventory control and cost savings initiatives within the department to achieve overall cost savings target for the organization
∎ Identify development opportunities (skill development trainings, technical training requirements) for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the production staff for improving the overall production standards.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 35 to 45 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Factory Operation, Production planning, Production Process, Production/ Operation Management
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Tannery/ Synthetic Leather
∎ Minimum 8-10 years' experience of working in Footwear factories engaged in business with world-class customers/brands out of which an experience of 05 to 06 years as a Production Manager, managing overall functions of export-oriented units.
∎ Good aptitude with skills to educate and manage operators doing multiple operations
∎ Knowledge of production planning, rejection control, maintaining of AQL and understanding of Industrial Engineering in apparel production
∎ Excellent communication skills with fair command over English language
∎ Knowledge of Internet & E-mail and other MS office programs.
∎ Leadership and motivation skills
∎ Knowledge of labor laws and other applicable statutory compliance
∎ Should be habituated to target based production for Example -2000 to 2500/day/line (synthetic shoes)
∎ Previous experience in sport shoes factory is a MUST.
