∎ 4 to 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Be on site, sharing time between a few factories' sample rooms
∎ make sure all prototypes sent to WF office are correct
∎ 2 visits per week to office only
∎ Receive from merchandising team 100% detailed tech packs: must raise any technical questions with merchandising team who will clarify with designers/buyers/Angelique
∎ Check and validate with sample room that all materials and trims used are according to the tech packs
∎ Chose proper colours whenever possible so the finished prototype is good looking
∎ Make sure stitching used are consistent on the prototypes (at the moment we receive prototypes that can have 2 or 3 different stitching on same piece when 1 only was required), no missing bartacks, etc
∎ Make sure sample rooms machines are properly set up
∎ If there is unplanned difficulties regarding construction, pattern, measurements while making sample, bring to the attention of merchandising team so they can check with either France or Technical coordinator in Hong Kong.
∎ Verify washing is according to expectation, arrange several washes legs if necessary
∎ Check that finished proto are following requested measurements
∎ Weekly report (with pictures and if possible samples) of styles in production (quantities ordered, is it a repeat style, brand/label, retail price on hanger)
∎ Weekly report (with pictures) of styles under development in sample rooms (with brand/label)
Additional Requirements:
∎ Knowledge on sources of available fabrics and accessories with its current price
∎ Knowledge in different types of dyeing/Printing/ wash/embellishments and styling
∎ Strong communication skills in written & spoken English & Bengali
∎ Ability to work under pressure and in a goal driven environment
∎ Should have sound technical and analytical knowledge
