Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor in Fashion Designing / Textile Engineering
∎ BGMEA University of Fashion Technology/ Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology (SMUCT) students will get preference.
∎ Preferred Professional Certification: Any courses completed from BIFT on fashion design, foreign degree preferred.
∎ Skills Required: 2D, 3D, Adobe Illustrator, AutoCAD, Graphics Designing

∎ 4 to 5 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The person selected will be taking ownership to communicate directly with the design team of the customer to understand the requirements for the forthcoming seasons, based to which the range of creative design solutions be provided to the customer to meet their aspirations.
∎ Responsible for driving the specification and development of products and standard of quality across the Soft Tailoring for Woven & Knit.
∎ Identifying key trends, colors, fabrics, and select prints etc.
∎ Conduct of fittings in cooperation with the technical team.
∎ Develop Sampling follow up from the start to the final stage.
∎ Work closely with the sourcing team to research new material.
∎ Ensure fashion marketing, product development & competitive price negotiations considering product category & production capacity.
∎ Analysis on upcoming product design, Experiment on new technique of garment and fabric.
∎ Contemporary market analysis and developed the product, graphics design and development.
∎ Innovate new design technique.
∎ Proper tracking to developer and designer, Monitoring the design and development of sample product and fabric development.
∎ Seasonal fashion trend analysis, Fabric development, Costing, Supplier sourcing, physical evaluation considering technical function & garments category.
∎ Communicate with Buying design and development, testing product designs using models, prototypes, specialist computer software and computer-aided design (CAD) technology.
∎ Producing sketches, sample designs and technical support to the buyer.
∎ Marketing Analysis the upcoming product design, Experiment on new technique of garment and fabric.
∎ Design and technical support to factory concern.
∎ Any other task is given by the management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Experienced as Product Developer with multiple products types
∎ Experienced with Knit Product will be given preferences
∎ Knowledge on sources of available fabrics and accessories with its current price
∎ Knowledge in different types of dyeing/Printing/ wash/embellishments and styling
∎ Strong communication skills in written & spoken English & Bengali
∎ Must have excellent knowledge on wash.
∎ Computer literacy is a must.
∎ Should be dynamic, well organized, self-driven & have good personality.
∎ Should have a strong analytical approach towards building business strategies and implantation.
∎ Good leadership qualities with excellent skills on training and skill imparting.
∎ Should have strong communication/negotiation skills.
∎ Should have sound knowledge across all kinds of Garments & Fabrics.
∎ Should have a high sense of responsibility and accountability.
Salary: Negotiable
