WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR - REQUIREMENTS: 

·         University degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with international exposure.

·         Minimum 20 years of relevant work experience in different domains of tobacco and manufacturing in MNCs with heavy focus on working across international borders and global projects.

·         Good command in Planning, Production, Processing Management, Quality Management and Supply Chain, Project Management, Handling Internal/External Audits, IWS, Handling Complex Business Environments.

WHAT THIS POSITION IS ABOUT - PURPOSE:

The position is responsible for strategy and end‑to‑end execution of processing and engineering/project plans to deliver quality packed tobacco at optimal yields. It ensures strong operational planning for leaf processing and supporting engineering activities to maximize productivity, capacity and cost efficiency for JTIB. The position sets short-, medium- and long‑term schedules for processing and equipment maintenance or upgrades to achieve targets in yield, quality, productivity, downtime and safety. Key partners include P&C, GIP, Leaf Quality, Operational Services, Finance and Global Leaf Processing Performance.

WHAT WILL YOU DO - RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Planning and Budgeting: Ensure ASP planning covers required budget, manpower, equipment and processes to meet yield, quality, safety and productivity targets.

·         Equipment and Machinery Management: Plan and oversee installation, maintenance and performance of all factory equipment and machinery. Implement maintenance plans, track activities, monitor costs and ensure high equipment availability.

·         Processing Performance Management: Review and update standards and processes to meet global specifications. Manage throughput, sanitation, overtime, downtime, contamination risks and maintenance programs. Share best practices across all processing sections.

·         3rd Party Processing Management: Monitor 3rd‑party processing to ensure customer specifications, quality, yield and productivity are consistently achieved. Manage customer satisfaction, processing schedules and product quality delivery.

·         IMS and Compliance Management: Ensure full compliance with IMS across EHS, Quality, Environment and Energy. Oversee audits, reviews and improvement plans to sustain continuous improvement.

·         EHS Management: Lead Environment, Health and Safety programs, risk assessments and control measure implementation to ensure a safe workplace.
