WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR - REQUIREMENTS:
· University degree in Business Management with international exposure.
· Certification/Coursework on Supply Chain Management.
· Minimum 20 years of relevant work experience in different domains of tobacco and manufacturing in MNCs with heavy focus on working across international borders and global projects.
· Good command in ESG, Environment, Health & Safety, Sustainability, cultural transformation, operational excellence, global systems implementation, IWS, handling complex business environments.
WHAT THIS POSITION IS ABOUT - PURPOSE:
The position is responsible for leading the Bangladesh Leaf Supply Organization, providing strategic direction to ensure sustainable business performance. It shapes a culture of high performance, creativity, and open communication, while guiding and delegating to functional managers to achieve objectives. The role manages multiple stakeholders, promotes company values, ethical behavior, and global standards, and ensures compliance with policies and legal requirements within the Bangladesh regulatory context.
WHAT WILL YOU DO - RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Lead the Bangladesh Leaf Supply Organization by setting strategic direction and driving sustainable business performance.
*Oversee leaf sourcing strategy, including ASP/LE development, agronomy capability building, and effective purchasing plans to ensure quality and compliance with global standards.
*Optimize cost of production through efficient pricing models and conversion costs for competitive products in domestic and export markets.
*Build a high-performance culture through effective staffing, succession planning, and compensation strategies that attract and retain top talent.
*Promote continuous improvement, operational excellence (ISO, IMS), and foster innovation and creativity across the organization.
*Drive transparent communication through corporate communication plans, training, town halls, and cross-functional collaboration.
*Manage stakeholder relationships, regulatory engagement, and sustainability initiatives, ensuring ethical conduct and safety standards are upheld.
