Responsibilities & Context:

We are looking for an experienced and highly competent Power Plant Manager to oversee the overall operation, maintenance, safety, reliability and performance of our power plant. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient power generation, achieving operational targets, controlling costs and leading the plant team effectively.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operation of the Prime-movers (Engine & turbine), Generators, EGBs (Boilers), complete BOPs say, Cooling systems including CT (Cooling Tower), Sub-stations, Transformers & switchgears etc. of a 113 MW HFO based Co-Generation Power Plant.

• Ensure achieving the plant targeted MW output, efficiency, availability and reliability

• Lead and enforce plant-wide Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

• Planning and execution of preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to minimize forced outages and equipment failures.

• Coordinate with internal departments and outside stakeholders for planned shutdowns, overhauls, inspections and all other maintenance activities of the plant equipment including 132/11 KV sub-station.

• Lead, supervise, motivate and evaluate engineers, operators, technicians and maintenance personnel.

• Prepare, manage and monitor the plant's O&M budget and control operational and maintenance costs.

• Monitor fuel consumption, spare parts, inventory, contractor costs and procurement requirements.

• Monitor key performance indicators such as plant availability, capacity factor, heat rate, efficiency, forced outage rate and generation performance.

• Identify operational inefficiencies and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

• Coordinate with fuel suppliers, contractors, equipment vendors, grid authorities, regulators and corporate management.

• Ensure compliance with grid, environmental, electrical and other applicable regulatory requirement.

• Lead investigations of operational incidents, equipment failures, safety events, emergency situations and implement corrective actions.

• Act as the plant's key decision-maker during emergencies, trips, blackouts, fires and other critical incidents.

• Prepare regular operational, maintenance, performance, safety and financial reports for senior management.

• Ensure proper documentation, SOPs, operating procedures and maintenance records are maintained.

• Perform any other duties assigned by the Management.
