  • Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology,Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology,Khulna University of Engineering and Technology,Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology,Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology students will get preference
  • Membership of Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) will be an advantage.

  • Additional professional qualifications in Project Management / Construction Management will be preferred.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project/Primavera, MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Candidates with strong experience in real-estate development, high-rise residential/commercial buildings, or large-scale building construction will be preferred.

  • Proven experience in managing multiple construction activities/projects simultaneously will be an advantage.

  • Strong knowledge of building construction methods, structural and architectural detailing, and construction materials.

  • Knowledge of BNBC, RAJUK requirements, fire safety, and relevant construction regulations.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict project deadlines.

  • Willingness to visit and supervise project sites as required.



Responsibilities & Context:

1. Construction Planning & Project Execution

  • Plan, organize, coordinate, and supervise construction activities from project initiation through completion and handover.

  • Prepare and monitor detailed construction schedules, work programs, manpower plans, and resource requirements.

  • Ensure projects are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, BOQ, budget, and agreed timeline.

  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly construction progress and take corrective actions where required.

  • Identify potential delays, technical issues, and construction risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.

  • Ensure timely completion of project milestones and overall project handover.

2. Site Management & Supervision

  • Supervise Project Engineers, Site Engineers, Supervisors, contractors, subcontractors, and construction workers.

  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, workmanship, productivity, and compliance.

  • Ensure proper sequencing and coordination of civil, structural, architectural, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and other related works.

  • Resolve technical and operational problems arising at construction sites.

  • Ensure proper utilization of manpower, materials, machinery, tools, and equipment.

3. Drawing, BOQ & Technical Coordination

  • Review architectural, structural, MEP, and other engineering drawings before execution.

  • Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP consultants, engineers, and other technical professionals.

  • Identify discrepancies, clashes, omissions, and constructability issues in drawings and specifications.

  • Review BOQ, quantity requirements, material specifications, and construction methodologies.

  • Ensure construction activities are carried out strictly according to approved drawings and specifications.

4. Cost Control & Budget Management

  • Assist in preparation and monitoring of project budgets and construction cost estimates.

  • Review BOQ, rate analysis, material requirements, and cost implications of variations.

  • Monitor actual construction costs against approved budgets.

  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization and value engineering without compromising quality.

  • Review and verify contractor/subcontractor bills, measurement sheets, work orders, and payment recommendations.

5. Procurement & Material Management

  • Prepare and review material requirement schedules in coordination with project sites and procurement teams.

  • Ensure timely requisition and availability of construction materials.

  • Verify material specifications, quantities, quality, and compliance with approved requirements.

  • Coordinate with Procurement and Store departments to ensure uninterrupted material supply.

  • Monitor material wastage and take measures to minimize unnecessary losses.

6. Contractor & Subcontractor Management

  • Coordinate and supervise contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project requirements.

  • Monitor contractor performance, productivity, quality, progress, and resource deployment.

  • Evaluate contractor/subcontractor performance and recommend corrective actions when necessary.

  • Verify work measurements and completed works before recommending payments.

  • Maintain professional relationships with contractors, suppliers, consultants, and other stakeholders.

7. Quality Assurance & Quality Control

  • Ensure all construction works comply with approved specifications, drawings, standards, and quality requirements.

  • Establish and monitor quality control procedures for construction activities.

  • Ensure proper testing and inspection of construction materials and completed works.

  • Monitor concrete, reinforcement, masonry, plaster, waterproofing, finishing, and other construction activities.

  • Ensure defects and non-conformities are identified and rectified promptly.

  • Maintain appropriate quality records, inspection reports, and testing documentation.

8. Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance

  • Ensure strict implementation of workplace health and safety requirements at construction sites.

  • Monitor PPE compliance, site safety practices, scaffolding, excavation, lifting operations, electrical safety, fire safety, and emergency arrangements.

  • Identify construction hazards and ensure appropriate risk-control measures are implemented.

  • Coordinate with the HSE/Safety team to reduce accidents, incidents, and unsafe practices.

  • Promote a strong safety culture among employees, contractors, and workers.

9. Regulatory & Compliance

  • Ensure construction activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, approved plans, and building codes.

  • Maintain awareness of applicable BNBC, RAJUK requirements, fire safety requirements, and other relevant regulatory requirements.

  • Coordinate with relevant authorities, consultants, and stakeholders whenever necessary.

  • Ensure required approvals, inspections, certificates, and project documentation are properly maintained.

10. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly construction progress reports.

  • Provide management with updates on project progress, cost, quality, manpower, materials, risks, and critical issues.

  • Maintain proper records of drawings, approvals, measurements, variations, work orders, contractor bills, inspections, and correspondence.

  • Prepare management presentations and project performance reports when required.

11. Team Leadership

  • Lead, guide, motivate, and evaluate the construction team.

  • Allocate responsibilities and monitor performance of engineers, supervisors, and site personnel.

  • Identify training and development requirements of construction personnel.

  • Promote teamwork, accountability, discipline, and professional standards within the Construction Department.

12. Project Completion & Handover

  • Coordinate final inspection and completion of construction works.

  • Ensure rectification of all outstanding defects and punch-list items.

  • Coordinate testing, commissioning, documentation, and final handover.

  • Ensure preparation and submission of as-built drawings, completion documents, warranties, and other required records.

  • Support defect-liability-period activities and post-handover requirements.
