Experience:
Membership of Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) will be an added advantage.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Project will be preferred.
Strong knowledge of building construction methods and materials.
Good understanding of RCC, foundation, structural, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, and finishing works.
Good knowledge of BNBC and applicable construction rules and regulations.
Candidates with experience in residential/commercial building construction and real-estate development projects will be preferred.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
Willingness to visit and work at project sites as required.
Assist the Manager/Project Manager in planning and executing construction activities.
Supervise day-to-day construction works at assigned project sites.
Ensure construction activities are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, BOQ, work schedules, and construction methodology.
Monitor project progress against approved schedules and report delays or deviations to management.
Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and relevant departments.
Assist in resolving technical and site-related construction issues.
Regularly inspect construction sites and monitor workmanship, productivity, manpower, and material utilization.
Ensure proper execution of foundation, RCC, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, tiling, painting, finishing, and other civil works.
Monitor reinforcement, shuttering, concreting, curing, brickwork, blockwork, and related activities.
Ensure proper work sequencing and coordination among different trades.
Maintain daily site records, photographs, measurements, and progress documentation.
Review architectural, structural, and related construction drawings before execution.
Ensure site works are executed according to the latest approved drawings.
Identify discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions and report them to the concerned authority.
Coordinate with Architects, Structural Engineers, Consultants, Project Engineers, and other technical teams.
Assist in preparing technical solutions for site-level problems.
Assist in preparing and reviewing BOQ, quantity estimates, material requirements, and work measurements.
Verify quantities of completed works before contractor/subcontractor bill processing.
Check measurement sheets and assist in preparing running bills.
Monitor variations and additional works and report their cost implications.
Assist in rate analysis and cost estimation when required.
Ensure construction works comply with approved specifications and quality standards.
Inspect construction materials received at site for quantity and quality.
Ensure proper testing of concrete, reinforcement steel, bricks/blocks, aggregates, cement, tiles, waterproofing materials, and other construction materials.
Monitor quality of workmanship and ensure rectification of defective works.
Maintain inspection, testing, and quality-control records.
Supervise contractors and subcontractors and monitor their performance.
Ensure adequate manpower and equipment are deployed according to project requirements.
Monitor contractor work progress against agreed work programs.
Verify completed work before recommending contractor payments.
Report poor performance, delays, quality issues, and contractual deviations to the Manager.
Prepare material requisitions based on project requirements.
Coordinate with Procurement, Store, and Project teams to ensure timely availability of construction materials.
Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.
Ensure proper storage, handling, and utilization of construction materials.
Monitor manpower, equipment, tools, and other resources at project sites.
Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and applicable construction safety requirements.
Monitor the use of PPE and safe working practices at construction sites.
Identify unsafe conditions and immediately report or take corrective measures.
Ensure proper housekeeping, curing, scaffolding, excavation, electrical, lifting, and other site safety practices.
Support implementation of the Company's Health, Safety & Environment requirements.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly construction progress reports.
Maintain proper records of manpower, materials, site activities, measurements, inspections, and work progress.
Prepare photographs and progress documentation for management review.
Assist in preparing Monthly Progress Reports (MPR), Material Receiving Reports (MRR), measurement sheets, and other project documents.
Report project risks, delays, variations, and critical issues to the reporting manager.
Assist in final inspection of completed construction works.
Prepare and follow up on snag/punch lists.
Ensure rectification of defective and incomplete works.
Assist in testing, commissioning, documentation, and project handover.
Ensure project records and as-built information are properly maintained.
