Responsibilities & Context:
Conduct and supervise lab and field tests on construction materials (compressive strength of concrete, tensile strength of steel, sieve analysis of aggregates, asphalt testing).
Proficiency in material testing as per ASTM/AASHTO/BS standards.
Hand-on experience in laboratory and field-testing procedures.
Experience in quality control & quality assurance (QA/QC) activities.
Prepare daily/weekly, and monthly material testing reports and maintain detailed documentation of test results and approvals.
Identify causes of material failure (e.g., structural cracks, corrosion) and recommend corrective measures.
Monitor site activities to ensure proper material placement and compliance with design drawings.
Good command of MS office (especially excel) and basic engineering software.
Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
Good communication buildup with clients.
