Experience:
Minimum five years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
Direct working experience on at least one data centre project in Bangladesh is required.
Practical experience in substation design, power connections, electrical design and approval processes.
Experience with data centre electrical loads, including IT load, critical load, cooling and mechanical load, auxiliary load and total facility demand.
Knowledge of high-voltage systems, transformers, substations, transmission and distribution infrastructure.
Understanding of 500 kV, 220 kV, 66 kV and 22 kV systems will be highly regarded.
Experience preparing or reviewing SLDs, load schedules, technical studies and electrical drawings.
Experience in multidisciplinary design coordination and project management.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Job Context
Our international client is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with direct experience in data centre power infrastructure in Bangladesh.
The engineer will coordinate with external power consultants, project managers, power providers, authorities and other technical stakeholders.
The role will support data centre power planning, new substation design, power-connection applications, technical coordination and master planning for large-scale power projects.
Key Responsibilities
Support power planning and electrical infrastructure development for data centre projects.
Assist with power-capacity assessments, demand analysis, load calculations and connection strategies.
Review and coordinate new substation designs and high-voltage power infrastructure.
Assist in developing power master plans for data centres and large-scale power projects.
Review electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), load schedules, technical studies, designs and specifications.
Coordinate power-connection design, application and approval processes.
Liaise with power providers, authorities, solar farms, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders.
Coordinate electrical works with civil, mechanical, cooling, fibre, telecommunications and other project disciplines.
Attend technical and project meetings and follow up on decisions and action items.
Prepare project briefs, progress reports, meeting minutes, presentations and technical summaries for the BDM.
Maintain project schedules, programs, action registers and deliverable trackers.
Monitor consultant performance and ensure information and deliverables are received on time.
Identify technical, approval, scheduling and delivery risks and recommend timely solutions.
Support the BDM and external Project Management company with day-to-day project coordination.
