∎ We are in search of a dynamic and seasoned Operations Manager to join our esteemed team.
∎ As the Operations Manager, you will assume a pivotal role in the oversight and optimization of daily agency.
∎ Operations at Chittagong Port and Mongla Port. Your leadership and expertise will be instrumental in ensuring.
∎ The seamless discharge operations of diverse vessels while preserving our sterling reputation for excellence.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Lead and oversee daily operations at Chittagong Port and Mongla Port.
∎ Supervise vessel discharge operations to ensure they run efficiently.
∎ Accurately calculate dispatch and demurrage charges for vessel operations.
∎ Monitor vessel turnaround times and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to minimize demurrage costs.
∎ Collaborate with the operations team to implement strategies for reducing demurrage expenses and optimizing vessel schedules.
∎ Cordinate activities with shore-based shipping personnel, principals, and agents.
∎ Strengthen and maintain our extensive network of agents throughout Bangladesh.
∎ Ensure prompt and precise collection of Pre-Disbursement Accounts (PDAs) from the Principal or Shipowner.
∎ Oversee the collection of Final Disbursement Accounts (FDAs) and manage the settlement process with the Principal or Shipowner.
∎ Maintain transparent financial records related to PDA and FDA transactions.
∎ Serve as a liaison between Chattogram Shipping Agency and the Principal or Shipowner, fostering trust and transparency.
∎ Address inquiries, concerns, and requests from the Principal or Shipowner professionally and promptly.
∎ Uphold our commitment to providing 24/7 service to meet and surpass client expectations.
∎ Implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
∎ Monitor and optimize resources, including personnel, equipment, and budgets.
∎ Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
∎ Cultivate a culture of teamwork, excellence, and continuous improvement.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 33 years
∎ At least 10 years of overall experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a similar managerial position.
∎ Applicants should have experience in shipping agency operations, leadership, problem-solving,
∎ effective communication, and a thorough understanding of shipping operations.
∎ Practical experience in Mother vessel and Lighter vessel operation.
∎ Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel.
∎ Strong interpersonal skills and physical fitness.
∎ Practical experience in ERP Software.
∎ Proven experience in a managerial role within the shipping agency or logistics industry.
∎ Proficient communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
∎ In-depth knowledge of shipping agency operations and port logistics.
∎ Familiarity with local and international shipping regulations.
