Desh General Insurance Company (DGIC) has a presence in the strategically important parts of the country which includes 27 branches.
∎ Position Description: We are looking for our Insurance Company for the different branches as "Officer, Underwriting" to determine potential clients` risk factors and to establish the terms of coverage. The successful candidate must be able to apply the proper rules which will result in securing an average proportion of good risks in order to keep average low claims cost and to enable the company to offer insurance at a lower cost.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ examining insurance proposals.
∎ collecting background information and assessments of risk.
∎ analysing statistical data using insurance company software.
∎ writing quotes and negotiating the terms with brokers and clients.
∎ determining premiums.
∎ preparation and issuing of insurance documentation such as Advance Bills/Cover note/ Policies/Certificates
∎ Prepare and review wordings/policy conditions/Inserting Clauses.
∎ Assist the Branch Manager to collect information,

Additional Requirements:
∎ Training or Certificate course on Insurance will consider as advantage.
∎ Experience in General Insurance (Non-Life).
∎ Good written and verbal communication skills
∎ Excellent customer service skills
∎ Ability to work within team and individually
∎ Good communication skill in English and Bangla.
∎ Excellent computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint).

Salary:
∎ Negotiable
∎ As per company policy.

∎ Salary, Benefits and allowances: commensurate with experience and DGIC's salary
