Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Agriculture
∎ M.Sc. in Agronomy/Horticulture/Plant Pathology/Soil Science/Genetics/Plant Breeding/ Agricultural Extension
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Identify suitable jute-growing regions for the contract-based program.
∎ Evaluate and maintain a database of eligible farmers for jute cultivation contracts.
∎ Manage and monitor farmers throughout the jute cultivation process, from land preparation to fiber drying, ensuring adherence to Good Agricultural Practices (GAP).
∎ Provide farmers with technical guidance to ensure the production of high-quality jute fiber.
∎ Oversee field operations and enforce GAP standards.
∎ Conduct regular meetings and field visits with contracted farmers.
∎ Handle managerial activities related to jute growing and purchasing.
∎ Collect and store data on crop size, production, jute prices for previous and current years.
∎ Establish and monitor jute demonstration plots.
∎ Evaluate and maintain the jute fiber assorting and grading system.
∎ Regularly measure moisture levels in raw jute using moisture meters.
∎ Procure raw jute from contract farmers and suppliers in various jute-growing areas.
∎ Generate bills for purchased raw jute and maintain records.
∎ Monitor and manage the storage of purchased raw jute in warehouses.
∎ Prepare various documents and reports as required.
∎ Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company regulations.
∎ Perform any other duties assigned by supervisors or higher authorities.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 24 to 30 years
∎ Freshers are highly encouraged to apply.
∎ Conversant in MS Office.
∎ Strong team building and leadership skills.
∎ Analytical ability & Output oriented approach.
